Talk about the series here. Please no PBP in this thread. Unless otherwise noted all games are on CSN-H (for about 40% I guess). 4-15 Erik Bedard, LHP vs. Tommy Milone, LHP 9:05 4-16 Brad Peacock, RHP vs. A.J. Griffin, RHP 9:05 4-17 Bud Norris, RHP vs. Bartolo Colon, RHP 2:35
Right?? I need to talk to my boss about changing operating hours to west coast hours to accommodate my Monday
Oakland drew more walks in the first inning (5) than Chris Johnson drew for the Astros last season by May 25th.
More on Clemens. Just tried to barehand a high chopper. He called time and was showing the umpire and the dugout that his little finger was dislocated. Trainer came to the mound and popped it back into place as Clemens was smiling. Clemens took a couple of warmups and continued pitching. For at least tonight - the Bourn trade looks better.
Clemens has impressed. If Bedard is injured, I would hope this game earned Clemens and opportunity to start.
I think it's time for the "I'm not mad, I'm just really disappointed" talk with the bullpen. This is just horrendous. I really don't see how any of these guys have much of a future past this year, so why not bring up Stoffel and Chapman? You can't seem to blame Porter for misusing them because they have all sucked on amazing levels (outside of Fields and his 2 outs of work)... I just can't watch Cedeno and his slow working ways, Cruz and Ambriz have never really shown potential to my untrained eye (which is why I can't say too much), and Veras... why we signed him befuddled me in the first place.
I don't see how Alexei Ramirez's walk total matters But I guess a better comparison is that the worst team in the majors at handing out free passes last year (TB) averaged 3.5 walks per game. I wish I could see how volatile that # is easily to see how often they walked as many as 8 guys in a game.

Firmly entrenched on the bench. Is a DFA in his future? <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Brett Wallace out of the lineup again - has started once since April 9.</p>— Astros County (@AstrosCounty) <a href="https://twitter.com/AstrosCounty/status/324330021273612291">April 17, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
