Because he prefers to have the ball run through Parsons and the second unit even though Lin + 2nd unit did better.
Last night the Rockets showed that they still have a lot of work to do before they can be considered a top team. Bright spots were Delfino, Parsons, TJones, and Lin on offense. But the defense was just horrible by the entire team. I don't know what happened to Harden, I guess he was injured or something, but he was a big reason we lost last night. I certainly don't put all the blame on Harden, but he killed us last night. I love the way Greg Smith as emerged this year, but he has to get better and learn how to play defense without fouling. I do not expect the Rockets to magically learn how to play defense during the playoffs, but I hope the players dedicate themselves to learn to play defense next year when they start training camp. Watching the opposing team make layups and wide open shots all night is getting old. The Rockets are very young, so I understand that they are still learning, but next year we need to see some improvement on defense, and that includes James Harden.
Huh? So after one game we can conclude that Dragic is better even though Lin has had by far a better season. And yes by far, putting up numbers on the worst team in the West with a high usage rate is not a great season.
One good quarter doesn't make up for his atrocious first half. I realize he can do know wrong in your eyes though so this is probably a wasted post
four guys went over 20+ for phx got out hustled by guys like dudley and tucker killed on the boards saw a lack of effort and urgency. didnt get back on defense on key plays, and just losing all the 50/50 balls pathetic effort. phx is trying to tank and we cant even take advantage of that. heck, luis was pulled during crunch time when he was having a solid gm. how do you not attack kendall marshall???
The only lead during the game was when Lin was leading the second unit minus Beverly. Not bashing anyone on the team, but our defense+offense was like night and day. Jeremy Lin played like night and day. McHale was really trying to force Lin and Harden to mesh last night. This is like a case of Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire playing together.
It is a matchup thing. It should be obvious by now that mchale is not good as a coach. Harden might have a lingering injury and mchale keeps relying on him under the circumstances. Do you believe in harden iso working throughout the series against the denver when he will be defended by iggy? I don't. Since mchale is dumb, that series would be a definite loss.
Lin's weakness is that he becomes useless once he feels like he's being sidelined. Not sure if that's a psychological thing or a team chemistry problem.
I really don't care when we lose. But why, why, oh why do we lose against trash? The Suns aren't even good. I hate it when crappy teams play tough by the end of the season when they should be playing like this when the season stars. IDIOTS!
That is what I thought too. Our defense was suck big time, we gave them too many wide open shot. Why?
But seriously, he went up to a +21 when he was in the 2nd quarter with the help of the bench. They went on a 15-0 run with over 90% of the baskets by lin; and they shut down Dragic and Scola. That was huge! Besides some vets here who saw that, most people are too irritated by the LoFs to discuss/acknowledge this lol.
interesting... i thought we gained control of the game in the second quarter when we got the lead, but once harden came back with one leg and a wooden peg, we gave back the control of the game and it was an uphill battle from that point on. should've stuck with the group in 2nd quarter that got you the lead a little longer, and kept pirate harden's minutes down a bit.
