Do you think the Saudi guy is free to leave on his own volition? Let's not be intellectually dishonest here. They just searched his house.

The Post was also reporting "12 dead" and that the fire in the JFK library was a bomb. They really made themselves look like gigantic asses throughout this entire situation.

The NY Post was awful yesterday. You're absolutely right...they appeared to just be making stuff up. Have no idea what their "sources" were.

I told you the Post was rubish. You accused me of making a rash generalization.

If Anything the Post are the ones making generalizations and calling it "Breaking News".

NY Post is owned by Rupert Murdoch.

That's all you need to know.

MadMax knew nothing about whether the Post was credible or not. You should probably re-read your post to him before demanding an apology from him. His statement to you about generalizations had nothing to do with the Post itself.

I wondered why the vocal hate from our beloved left players, but having said that the paper is not helping itself.

Okay, in the face of this grim event, we needed a chuckle. Thank you. :)

With his express permission and cooperation -- not with a warrant.

Yeah, the bomber is probably not welcoming the authorities into his home. Just a wild guess there.

I think they either get a break in this case quickly or we just have to wait a good long while. I'm not going to engage the media today. Blech.

They can call him whatever they want, I'm pretty sure the guy wouldn't have been allowed to leave the country yesterday had he not been injured.

No, you said Twitter was rubbish. Not just the NY Post. Go back and look.

No you didn't. Here is your post that MadMax said you were making sweeping generalizations:

Nothing is credible until the next day. Twitter posts are made to get you to click on links.

He asked specifically about the Post, and you responded with this "sweeping generalization". He was right. There was lots of useful and credible stuff on Twitter yesterday. There was also lots of garbage, but that's the nature of Twitter.

Both really. If you look back about 70% of those twitter posts were just not credible. In zero hour that's been the case for most major breaking news. It takes 24 hours to get correct vetted news. You can't just believe a random twitter poster "just because".

    Thus making...

Nothing is credible until the next day. Twitter posts are made to get you to click on links.

    A sweeping generalization, no?

Why would it be? The headlines for today have all been based on corrected evidence from credible sources (White House, FBI, Boston Police). So far everything that's come out this morning has been 100% vetted and verified.

Twitter posts from the first two hours yesterday were about as accurate as throwing darts while being blindfolded. That is NOT credible news.

There were tweets directly from the Police Dept., the JFK Library, and the Boston Globe. The very story itself hit Twitter about 5 minutes before it hit the airwaves on CNN.

Twitter was a good thing yesterday. Your suggestion was that it was all meant to get clicks....yeah, I'm sure the JFK librarians are swimming in riches this morning from their tweets.

I think twitter is great for news and its what I use it most for. Sure you have to weed Out the bad like anywhere else. It's instant, everything breaks on twitter first.
