There's so much bad information on the early pages of this thread - twitter really sucks in terms of quality in a breaking news situation like this.

For the folks who can't stomach the Post simply reporting information passed to them by cops, here is a better site that you might be more comfortable with reporting basically the same thing. Saudi guy's apartment is also being searched.

The face of the 8-year old (Martin Richard) killed and the rest of his family. Normally I'd put a spoiler on this but I think it's important we know what the victims looked like. (he's the little boy in the right of the picture). The little girl in the picture lost a leg and the mother has a brain injury.

 

Amazing more people didn't die. That is just scary.

 

I closed the tab after the second or third pic with the dude in the stretcher missing his calf.

 

I can make out Carlos Arredondo on his name tag, and I guess the black Boston Marathon lanyard is for vendors...?

This just makes me incredibly sad. I don't want to go on one of those "being the parent of..." rants but I definitely react different to it now that I would have 8 years ago.

That poor child did nothing to anyone...except cheer his father on as he finished the marathon. I don't care how they do it, I just hope and pray they find the responsible person or persons alive. I want them to suffer...legally, of course.

 

Simply reporting information passed to them by the cops...that was wrong at the time and that the police hten denied.

But hey, that's "reporting"!

 

I hope they find the responsible parties and NAIL them to a CROSS.

Yea all he wanted to do was give his dad a hug at the finish line.

 

I know man it pisses me off as well. Especially as a father. ...also this morning at least 5 patients/victims had to undergo amputations at the hospital. Even for those surviving from this is in a nightmare.

If I ever think things don't go my way, this is just a reminder to be thankful.

I realize exactly when it was written - it certainly wasn't written yesterday, when the NY Post was reporting incorrect information ("suspect in custody").

There's two things that were apparently wrong with the quoted part at the time.

 

WTF, man. Stop trolling.

 

So your problem is that the Post used the word "suspect" to describe a person being held by the police for questioning rather than "person of interest" or "potential suspect"? cmon man

 

Yes, my problem is that the newspaper (alllegedly professional journalists, not trolls on twitter...)reported something that wasn't true, and apparently, still isn't true, as of about 20 minutes ago.

 

Do you even know what the word journalism means? That's right you worry more about how too look at a customer's ta-tas.
