We know Lebron James is left handed, but shoots with his right.

Does anyone know what other NBA players do or have done this?

Does shooting with both hands at the same time count? If so, then Joakim Noah

Yup, Nash is pretty amphibious if you ask me.

I do the same, but i wouldn't consider myself ambidextrous. By that definition, wouldn't a lot of people be ambidextrous? There's another name for it. Cross-something, i think.

I know Kirilenko is left handed but shoots with the right. I think Jrue Holiday is also ambidextrous.

    Found this interesting.

In basketball a player may choose to make a pass or shot with the weaker hand. NBA stars Kobe Bryant, Kyrie Irving, David Lee, Derrick Rose, Andrew Bogut and Michael Beasley are ambidextrous players. Bogut is stronger in the post with his left-handed hook shot than he is with his natural right-hander; brothers Marc and Pau Gasol can make hook shots with either hand while the right hand is dominant for each. Bob Cousy, a Boston Celtics legend was forced to play with left hand in high school when he injured his right hand, thus making him effectively ambidextrous.LA Clippers center DeAndre Jordan which is left-handed, shoot with his left hand but performs his spectacular dunks with his right hand. Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert shoots his hook shots equally well with either hand. Oklahoma City Thunder left-handed point guard Derek Fisher used to dunk with his right hand in his early years. Candace Parker, forward for the WNBA Sparks team, also has equal dominance with either hand. LeBron James of the Miami Heat obviously shoots and dunks the ball with his right hand, but he writes with his left hand.

Wikipedia so I'm not sure it's 100% legit

IMO the dunking thing is very dependent on what leg you jump off on. I regularly shot with my right hand, but because I got used to jumping off the right foot, my layups are way better with the left hand.

Some types of shots are easier to do with the off-hand than others, in my experience. I would think most players should be able to execute lay-ups, dunks, and hook-shots with either hand. I'd call it ambidexterity if they can shoot a jumper with the off-hand.

What I mean was guys who are left hand and shoot with their right or vice versa. David lee shoots left handed, but he is actually left handed.

I am right handed but left footed. My daughter is left handed but throws with her right hand.

Asik can do superstar level acrobatic layups with either hand.

Thanks for the post, I've always wondered about this. I do a certain number of things left handed, even though I am right handed
