Folks, both Parsons and Lin have said it was on the players...effort. You can lose but if you are out hustled and outplayed because the other team WANTS it more...that is inexcusable.
That's a LOT to hope for... home cooking at Staples Center, and Portland's starters have been pretty much run into the ground all season. No way I'd bet money on BOTH of those things happening.
In a 7 game series? Again, people here realize that the Spurs, despite their great regular season successes, don't take the season taht seriously right??? Shaq, Ben Wallace, Rasheed, Brad Miller, Dirk Nowitzki, Chris Webber are just a small list of the All-star bigs that have tried and failed to match-up (let alone "lock down") the great Tim Duncan. Asik's not going to do it. He went off yesterday on Dwight AND Gasol. In a game that mattered little to them, where they didn't have Manu and Parker was going 1 for 11.
Read my posts/threads. You're that black hammer that has the initials L.O.F.H inscribed on it that is looking for nails to knock. Without looking.
Good news: no more csn blackout bullsh!t. The laker game on national tv. Bad news: we lose, we get 8th seed and reading the post game comments on the garm makes u want to blow off your brain with a sawed off shotgun!!
That was 2 years ago when Duncan and Manu were having major injury problems. That Memphis team was excellent anyways. That Memphis team is still excellent. They can totally beat OKC if Randolph played like he did 2 years ago - Prince is a better overall player than Battier.
I cannot disagree with most of what you are saying. His substitution patters are bizarre and while they have worked at times, they have not at other times. His handling of Harden tonight was just poor. I am sure there are better coaches out there. The Rockets in the past have looked strongly at Carslile and Vogel, so I believe the front office can judge coaches well. The one that keeps popping into my head is Van Gundy. He is a huge believer in advanced metrics, works very hard and has a strong pre existing relationship with Morey from their seminars. People laugh but a Howard/Van Gundy reunion in Houston isn't impossible.
Are you sure thats 2 years ago? Pretty sure right now And Manu won't even be playing And TP is injured. What was that again?
i couldn't care less if he doesn't want to talk to the media. I wouldn't want to either after losing and having a bad game.
The fact that you brought up the Clippers and Magic game as proof that the Rockets don't need a healthy Harden to have a chance just proves my point.
Why is McHale taking Harden's word and not asking the trainer to take a look at Harden? Harden says he's ok, but the way he played proved he's not.
And I'm glad at least Lin and Parsons post-game comments don't reflect that apologetic 'we already exceed our expectation' crap Jocar is going on here. Inexcusable loss is exactly what it was. Just imagine if a reporter came up to anyone on the Rockets team and said, "it was a tough loss, but you guys have beat expectations this year, so that makes this loss comforting (despite the stakes)". and the players actually gave a small grin and replied "B.I.N.G.O"
It's probably fans appreciation night in LA, which means the Lakers are going to give it 120%. Let's hope Jeremy gets some In-N-Out burgers magic.
PTI.... I just got home from work...checked the box - and WTF! Obviously we had no d... why did Asik only play 14 minutes?
Yeah I read ur posts. We win, b**** n moan about Mchale/Harden. We lose, whine even more. Just put that in ur sig and be done with it. Fk off, you soccer mom.
