Your defending of Harden is just as annoying as LOF's. Yes Harden played like a scrub tonight. Don't really care about the offense because everyone has bad games. His defense is down right pathetic throughout the season. It's hard to find opposite team's SG not getting his career night against us.
Yeah pathetic Harden Only Fan keeps giving Harden excuses every time he plays bad. It's just so annoying they're the same excuses over and over again.
The J Sizzle post Harden bad game apologist/criticism prevention post just came on He'll do one for McHale too. Youngest. Roster. In. The. NBA. To make. Playoffs. McHale for COY. Heck, if Jermaine O'Neal had not scored for Harden, the Rockets could potentially get the 14th pick again, and McHale would've helped the team snatch defeat from the hands of victory again.
So it's OK for your superstar to be the worst defender on the team? I kind of curious if anybody can have the number of times the man he was guarding had either a career/season high. I can only think of two guys both Thabo Sefolosha (Career High) and PJ Tucker (Career High). It seems like whoever he's guarding that night just happens to be going off.
Harden is not immune to criticism and neither is Lin but apparently fans from both sides fail to see that.
You'll hear no argument from me that Harden's defense is pretty awful. He's not bad at all when he tries, but that's not often enough. Even if he's fully committing to his defense, he needs to focus on it much more. Not to mention he gets caught watching way too much which allows his man to sneak open for wide open shots. But it's the people who say Harden is "garbage" or "worthless" or shouldn't even be an all star that are foolish, and the ones who deserve to be called out.
I am not going to comment on Harden's defense. I am here to congratulate PJ Tucker on his career night.
Never said that at all. He should focus much more on his defense, and I really wish Mchale/Sampson/teammates would get on him more about it. Not sure if any of them have the guts to do it, though.
It doesn't matter what the coaches say until they hold him accountable for it and start benching him for an extended period of time. Sadly I don't see that happening especially with the playoffs coming up.
He has the tools to play good 1-on-1 defense. It's his rotations and awareness that is really worrisome.
In this very game, I would like to see more JAMES (not harden, but) Anderson on the court, who has more off-ball movement, positional defense, and willingness to create for teammates. James harden is in his own mode, which is offsync with the rest of team both offensively and defensively. The vicious cycles started from him can not finish around the rim, bricking all the 3s, not getting whistles, ball-watching on-man defense, and 0 help D... He has been this bad before this season, but he usually bounced back the next game. Hopefully this is just one stinker game before our coming playoff run. Go rockets!
Haha he's not "my" Harden. He should improve next season. I'd imagine an actual offseason with the entire team to prepare together would do wonders.
The real issue is coaching staff and management enabling Harden. Why would he play D when he's not held accountable? They are happy to let Harden have carte blanche on offense while playing absolutely no defense.
