A dumb ass with a gun can only kill so many, but psychos with bombs can keep doing this **** and get away with it.

They better catch whoever did it. The last thing we need is cameras everywhere to prevent these things from happening. Privacy is my main concern, and that means the terrorists win if we have to live like that.

I am beginning to doubt if this was an attack by Al Qada or similar groups, it's unlike them to carry out a "successful" attack and not claim credit immediately.

Wow... just so scary. He/she filming this is right in between both explosions... so the second one would have been more or less the same distance away behind them a few seconds later.

What I was implying was that this could be a lone wolf attack rather than one carried by a somewhat organized terrorist organization.

Lone wolf attacks are a lot harder to prevent since less people involved in the planning/carrying out of such attacks would also mean there are lower chances of information getting out before the attack.

You're expecting privacy in a PUBLIC setting?

Sometimes they take credit for stuff they don't even do. What if they don't get this guy. What if he is like the unabomber and doesn't get caught for a while?

Maybe I'm just slow but I don't see where he was joking or beating a dead horse.

Because there are no potential variables, such as the bombs being dropped after the start of the race, or shortly before they went off? Not to mention the fact that they probably get bomb threats every year. And how often do credible bomb threats actually get called in, and then a bomb is actually detonated?

As far as the leads go, relax, it has only been about 9 hours. It was pure chaos on the scene. It takes time to sort these things out.

May be a bad example (partly because of conspiracy theorists), but Oswald shot Kennedy from a building at a gathering with a large crowd. In all the panic, he had time to get out of the building, on a public bus, shoot a cop, and go to the movies before he was caught. Now, imagine a situation like that, except the perpetrator probably wasn't even on the scene when the crime went down.

Then we have a lone wolf perpetrator rather than a organized terrorist organization, both equally terrible.

The goal of terrorist groups like Al Qada is to get maximum exposure to push their political agenda/crazy religious ideals. Which is why they always come forward to take credit for attacks (true or untrue).

All I am saying is that this is looking more like it's done by a unabomber/OKC bombing type attacker rather than large terrorist cells like Al Qadar.

There was a bomb threat at UT Austin a couple of days ago, chances are it's completely unrelated but the timing is suspicious. Since a similar event to the Boston marathon, the Longhorn run took place over the weekend.

An terror attack on a marathon was the grand finale of the movie Four Lions. One of the better movies to be released in the past few years.
