when Lin plays with the team without harden or parson, his team mates run screens and picks for him making the ball movements easier between the players.
Let Lin rest the whole game. He's playoffs ready. Let Harden and Chandler iron out their kinks. They're too turnover prone since coming back. We need everybody ready for the playoffs.
Scola is getting shots like LMA was getting in Portland. We just need to play him the same way we did the 3rd quarter even tho LMA is 10x better.
Not really. Some of ya'll were just sayin' that Lin was schooling Dragic when Parsons/Harden was on the bench. Now we're back to, Dragic is schooling' Lin/he's a bad match up.
Our 4's def can't stop Scola, but that's to be expected. I think Dragic and Lin are bad match ups for each other. I haven't seen Dragic really stopping Lin either. They're both quick scorers off the dribble, and a good part of the assist differential is Phoenix couldn't miss in the 1st quarter, whereas players like Smith couldn't sink a bucket with 3 offensive rebounds off the same shot. That said, we're going to need other players to sink more buckets if we're going to play porous defense like we did during parts of the first half. I know we're coming off a b2b, but some of the late rotations were pretty bad.
Right? Lin is out there balllin right now trying to will this team to a win... Lock down on Defense and we should be set, let Lin handle the ball!!!!
If Harden and Lin are lazying in the corner than that means that is in the playbook. That's how they were taught
TJones was a defensive monster to start the 2nd quarter. Rockets pulled TJones and brought back Greg Smith and the defense went to hell.
Asik isn't supposed to be guarding Luis. Luis was Greg's man. Greg needs to improve on the defensive end. Asik can't be guarding everybody's man.
Interesting how things change when Lin is running point and getting some picks. All of a sudden the tempo changes for him and the team. It also puts a lot more pressure on the opposing PG to defend when Lin gets to push. This team tends to get off kilter when Harden and Lin aren’t in balance and Lin is just a 3 point option. About half of those Dragic assists were to Scola who was on fire from inside and outside. It’s nice to have a big who can finish for you. Asik wasn’t able to keep up with Scola. Nice adjustment by coaching in the 2nd half after Beverley got hit. Now hopefully Harden will go elite scorer mode again in the 3rd.
