I had that decency when I stated God bless us all. I believe that that counted in my mind for the victims, as well. To each their own.

Maybe they should stop over paying useless cops and put in a budget for better surveillance around the whole city. Cops doesn't protect anyone. They are nothing but after the facts when the damages are already been done.

You may say that I'm a hippie when I say this but don't you think that the government let the explosion happen (saying they knew the Boston bombing was rigged) because they will begin to enforce the law to where the military to begin patrolling our streets? It's more control over us so that they will eliminate protesting. It's all spiritual anyway

I have not seen and don't really expect to see anyone criticizing the city for the security. I think people tend to give them the benefit of the doubt given the size and nature of it.

I don't see how surveillance helps here before the fact either. And, from the looks of it, the cops did a great job of reacting to the attack quickly, finding the other bombs and so on.

 

I just hate it when some Americans try to blame the government. If your magnitude of distrust in this country's government leads you to accuse them of such tragic/horrible acts, then why the hell are you still living in such a country that would do this to its own people?

I don't think many people understand the scope of the Boston Marathon or any large race. There are tens of thousands of people along a 26.2 mile course. There are so many ways into and out of the race area. It is practically impossible to secure the race course.

 

You can "hide" it via FB.

 

It doesn't have to be that way. It would be possible to secure a perimeter around the race route.

 

Take a basic US history class.
I'm not saying people are righteous and special. I'm saying history has an effect on people and traditions.
