Not at all, but if we continue to let these things happen. Things like 9/11, and things like JFK being killed, and we don't have all the info. then what are we supposed to believe. It is a TON of lies upon lies. If the govt. gets what they want, which is people thinking oh no way this is a "Conspiracy" (with Newtown, Aurora, Boston, London, etc.), then the government slowly takes more and more rights away. Go to an airport, and you'll see us giving up our rights constantly. Have you seen the little kids in wheelchairs harassed by the TSA? Please. I'll STOP, but I'm just saying the main suspect isn't ONE SAUDI.
EVERY LARGE EVENT GETS THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS OF THESE BOMB THREATS. Should people avoid every large event after this one to avoid getting killed by bombs? NO. Its unfortunate that this turned out to be true but its incredibly difficult to weed out pranks and actual, real bomb threats. The most anyone can do is beef up security and brace for the worst. There was a rumor going around my school during freshman year about a deranged white supremacist that was going to go into our pep rally and shoot everyone. Did it happen? **** no it didn't. It was just a rumor. The president gets a death threat every time he goes out into a public event or does a speech. Should he just cancel all his events and have future ones in a fortified shelter underground?
The only group saying that the main suspect is one Saudi was the NY Post, which was explicitly denied by the Boston Police. I guess the Post is a little bit more credible than Alex Jones, however, so it explains why you would believe it.
Here is just one that I had to Google for you. Chief file photo Mike Heiliger runs in the Boston Marathon in 2008. The Squamish man finished the race on Monday (April 15) about a half hour before two explosions rocked the finish line area. He was not injured. Ben Lypka blypka@squamishchief.com Runners getting set to take part in the Boston Marathon were warned beforehand that they were going to die, said a Squamish resident who took part in the race. Mike Heiliger, 59, said a woman holding several bags was telling runners who were picking up their pre-race packages in downtown Boston on Saturday (April 13) that they were going to die if they participated in the event. “I was downtown on Saturday and you know, you see these people on the street and think it’s just some nutbar,” he told The Chief from his Boston hotel on Monday (April 15). “It was a little creepy because you can identify who the runners are and I heard her say to this runner two feet away from me that, ‘If you run tomorrow you’re going to die.’” Heiliger said he thought about telling the woman that the race was Monday, but decided not to correct her. Heiliger was in the process of calling the police after his conversation with The Chief. “I thought it was just a nut and maybe she was a nut but she was holding a couple of bags like she just got off a plane and was accosting runners on Saturday,” he said.
According to you, it seems we're supposed to find the craziest and least credible unsubstantiated option and believe that.
What the hell do your friends say to you when you bring this genius idea? I would be speechless. Complete speechless. Keep preaching, so we can all know what is really going on.
This is not about rights, or freedom, or justice. This is about you wanting attention for your ignorance and lunacy. Take your unfounded BS out of this thread.
This country was founded on religious persecution and freedom and liberty. Outside of a few blotches (Civil War, WW2 imprisonment of the Japanese, Operation Wetback, Trail of Tears) the US government and her citizens have placed a crazy amount of emphasis on personal rights and freedoms. Your idea of a dystopian 1984-esque society is not possible in the United States of America simply because of our history. Not to mention Socialism and Communism (somewhat rightly so) are absolutely demonized here. It won't happen here. I reiterate: PLEASE STOP WITH THE CRAZY CONSPIRACY THEORIES. STOP BEING A TOYCEN.
So this random guy hears another random person say you'll die if you run the race. He doesn't tell anyone about it. Then he runs the race. Then after something happens, he decides to talk to a reporter from a Canadian website BEFORE calling the police. And you choose to believe that random person with no evidence to back up his story, and then call everyone else gullible?
This is terrible, but there is a chance someone will use that Newtown information to politicize this as a crazy pro-gun attack on the anti-gun population. If enough people believe that then the Tea Party (heavily associated with the GOP) will take a sharp fall in popularity. Like I said before in the Benghazi thread and the Newtown thread: STOP POLITICIZING TRAGEDIES. Its utterly disrespectful. I guess you could somehow justify politicians doing it, but when the news media (Fox, MSNBC) try to imprint their opinions onto their viewers to gain a political edge? That's just sickening.
pplease stop posting in this thread, if you want to talk about politics and crazy conspiracy theories go to the D&D of this topic, here: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=237072
Well it's too early to know who's responsible. I won't even speculate until there's more evidence. What a bummer. What's also a real bummer is people who don't put politics aside when it comes to an attack on Americans on American soil. What a real lack of class.
I agree with you there, and have experienced the same things. I was within a few blocks in London of the "Smoking Mercedes" outside of Tiger Tiger, in Haymarket. I'm saying that as Rahm Emanuel said "Never let a good crisis go to waste." See the thing is I'm not scared. I'm worried that there are too many people that are blind to the fact of the statement you made in your first post, last paragraph. We have and still do fund militias, and that yes there are crazy people in this world, but how did they get past all that beefed up security you speak of? They had bomb sniffing dogs, bomb spotters on the roof etc. I agree with you on what you're saying there, but that doesn't change my opinion that power can create evil. Evil things happen, and unfortunately for us the USA isn't perfect. Like I said I don't know who did it. I've just heard from my friend there at the scene, and have found a bunch of other accounts straight from the people's mouths through each paper I see that says something is up. CNN was already trying to tie it to an Al Qaeda group or "right winged extremist." -"Never let a good crisis go to waste." ...and it was Boston's Patriot's Day.
So... you come into a thread on the day these people tragically died for the express purpose of espousing your political views and distrust of our government. That kind of makes you look like a dick. Prayers tonight for all of the victims and their families.
This isn't a conspiracy theory, but you can call it that. Again I've only stated facts. I haven't made anything up LOL. I will STOP THOUGH!
Please just go to D&D. Let this remain for the victims and people this tragically impacts. Have that decency.
That's not at all what I did. I'm saying that the possibility of our own government sponsoring terrorism is quite possible coming from the reports of "eyewitnesses." It's a thread to express an opinion that some might not be able to see because they haven't heard the "news." I'm not pissing on anyone's grave in fact, I wrote that because it is quite sad that it happened. I couldn't believe it. I wrote my opinions based off the facts I've read, and HEARD so far. Again I have a friend there. First person I called was that friend. I was worried. I am not going to come in, and say oh RIP what a horrible tragedy. I think I stated how horrible it was with my own words that to you can be mist-rued, and called a conspiracy theory by others.
