[NEWS] Explosions near Boston Marathon Finish Line (UPDATE: MIT/Watertown shootout w/ suspects)

That's the point though we don't know if they are true. A bombing, mass attack, disaster and etc.. are by nature very chaotic add on top of that multiple news sources and now things like twitter and there is going to be a lot of rumor, misinformation, unconfirmed reports and such are going to be flying around. For those who remember 911 there were reports that a truck bomb had exploded outside the State Department and that hijacked planes were headed at almost every major city in the US. None of those were true.

I am afraid that something like this will happen at a big soccer event sooner or later.

Pray for the victims, the rescue workers, family members and friends affected, the whole city of Boston!

 

I wait for this at every opening ceremony of big events like Olympics, World Cup or Euro Cup. Gladly nothing has ever happened but I'm 100% sure it will eventually happen in the next few years.

Really weird feeling. I was just walking around the Marathon finish line area yesterday, but didn't want to be around the crowds today.

According to CBS News the JFK library is saying that the fire there was accidental.

 

Since posting, I've read more and watched some videos, and I guess I agree with you. A truly professional job would probably have larger bombs and managed to detonate more of them.

Just saw a picture on twitter that one of my friends retweeted off the street where the explosion happened and then another one right next to of it of the same picture zoomed in with a man who appears to be walking on the roof of one of the buildings ..freaky stuff

 

Looks like security maybe.
