Our offense during crunch time

What should our offense be like?

  1. Harden ISO and trying to draw foul by extending his arms.

(The reason I called the "extending his arms" line dumb is because drawing fouls is not something many NBA players even learn till they're vets. Beard is only 23 and he's almost got it down pat already. Free throws wins games, ask Kobe, MJ, or Dwight.)

I have no problem with the beard ISO. It's technically a higher percentage and safer play.

But I HAVE a serious problem when the beard ISO and looking to draw fouls instead of actually trying to get the ball in. At the end of the Griz game, I really wanted the ball in Lins hand because he was looking to shoot it in instead of drawing fouls.

If the beard wasn't looking to draw fouls then yes I would prefer him to take the shot.

There is never a reason for the ball to be in Lin's hands rather than Harden in a final shot situation.

Just wish Mchale would set some plays. Harden iso for final shot is use too predictable , the opponents knows that he is not going to pass, no matter how difficult the shot is. Seen so many of these, but I could be wrong, can someone check the number of failed final iso Harden or percentage? Just to put this to rest.

How successful are the Lakers when Kobe does it?

I would rather move the ball, and the defense, around to get harden into the best position to score as possible, not isoing at the top of the key. Hate the turnover argument. Harden is the player most likely to turn the ball over as it is.
