    Well, it provides whatever ****wads did this the softest possible target with tons of people in a close area. How are you going to monitor what anyone throws in a trashcan during the Boston marathon?

    Al Qaeda doesn't sound right, unless they are growing incompetent given that this happens hours after the majority of marathon was done and fortunately most of the spectators/runners were gone. Obviously without knowing any details or even if it was intentional, this seems like it was timed more for effect than to maximize damage.
