Actually, I hope we lose this game. That way we HAVE to beat Lakers to clinch 6th all while UTAH wins out. Knocking Lakers out of the playoffs and clinching. Glorious.
i want to win this game.. i dont want to take chances like that... cause if we lose 2 in a row.. then we will be 8th and play OKC in the first round.. no thanks lol
I'm a little worried because It's a B2B. On the other hand, f*** it, we got this. 6th seed (not strangeways), here we come.
Back to back on the road, but the starters didn't play a lot of minutes and Phoenix is battling for lottery positioning. Really hard to say what the teams will look like on the floor. Long as we go 1-1 and lock down 6th, I'm okay with the outcome. And if it includes knocking out the Lakers for 8th, that's just a bonus. :grin:
Some people haven't realized it, but this is a critical game. If we lose this one, we are leaving ourselves in a very vulnerable position facing the Lakers in the last regular season game. For "basketball reasons", it will be extremely difficult for us the win it at the Staples center since the NBA would totally love it if the Lakers can not only make the playoffs but set the stage for a first round upset against the injured Spurs. After that beating the Nuggets is also possible. Just imagine this happy-ending comedy, and DH12 stays as a Laker. At the same time we will just be perceived by FAs as the 8th seed that barely makes the playoff and got swept by the Thunder... Make sure that scenario never happens by taking care of the Suns tonight.
Rockets are playing the way they want, with everyone back, just in time for the playoffs. Hopefully this game will provide a bit more tune-up time for the bench. Meanwhile, on the GARM, repetitive typing injuries and carpal tunnel are taking their toll on the knee-jerk game thread responses, with the last game thread totaling only 42 pages at the time of this writing. However, it has been a long season, and with the playoffs ahead it is possible that some starters are simply being rested.
