For #27 on All-time scoring list. I didn't realize he had been that productive in his career. Not sure if this should be in dish or GARM, but well here it is.
Say what you will about Vince Carter, but he's managed to stay in the league a lot of years because he doesn't get into high-risk situations.
Makes me wish Clyde had played a few more years. I never fully figured out why he retired right when he did. He nearly had a quadruple double in his last year. He was still a very good player. Did he dislike playing with Barkley that much, or did he just want to do other things?
Clearly he wanted to follow his passion and be an in game announcer. And I'm sure every Rockets fan LOVE that he followed this passion.
I think it was because he didnt want the rockets to loose pay him alot or something along those lines im not to sure though.
He was offered and accepted the head coaching job w/ his alma mater. And he didn't want to play with Pippen. ;-)
based on his lack of basketball knowledge displayed in his commentary, is it a stretch to say that he was the worst coach ever?
He's changed his game into more of a shooter. Thats pretty much the secret to having a long career in the NBA. Your legs/knees are the first to give out as you get older and you need to become more skilled as you age.
Considering most of Clyde's points didn't even come with the Rockets, I think Dish would have been more appropriate.
And Dirk is 17th and Duncan is 22nd all-time, as of last night. Didn't know Dirk was ahead of Tim Duncan!
Considering we have his jersey retired, I honestly see no problem with it being posted here. Just as I'd have no problem with someone posting an overtaking of Mutumbo's blocks even though he didn't earn most of them here.
he passes up larry bird, and is now catching up to clyde. this guy needs to be blackballed from the league, because this guy's overall career is not matching up to either of these players.
Dirk has always been more of scorer, while Duncan has been a more all around (some would say 'Fundamental') player at the PF position. Heck I am surprised Duncan is that high when it comes to scoring, he is sneaky in how he gets 20+ points in games. I will give props to Vince Carter, dude is a Hall of Famer and more so in the later half of his career, he has shown himself to be a competitor that I personally didn't think he was capable of being based on his last few years with the Nets and unremarkable Magic campaign.
