Tiebreaker from GSW gives us the 6th seed for the moment. Looking at facing Denver at the moment. http://www.nba.com/standings/team_record_comparison/conferenceNew_Std_Cnf.html
i would love to see us beat denver's ass...it haven't forgotten how corey "garbage" brewer taunted our bench after making a three in a 20 pt blowout...eff them
I don't want to see us face Denver BUT LAC/Memphis both have a shot at 3. Would rather play them than SA or OKC.
Brewer is trash and really not that good of a shooter...but he just finds ways to impact the game in critical moments...and yes he would be a good candidate to punch in the face
Temporarily. Rockets will have to beat Phoenix and Los Angeles too, and hope Golden State loses to San Antonio or Portland. Let's go Rockets, win the next one first.
Do the Spurs have the tie-breaker against OKC? basically it looks like OKC will end up winning both against the Kings and the Bucks... So the Spurs most likely will be the 2nd seed...and no i dont like the Rockets matchup against the Spurs...
why does everybody wanna see us play Denver they are a better verison of us, they a defensive stopper that can limit Harden, and their bigs are super athletic.. and they have a better coach than us. Am i crazy for thinking we cant win
They're injured and ****. I would vastly prefer the Spurs, who just suck, but we can win a few against Denver.
I wonder if Jeremy Lin, or James Harden want to stay in the 6th seed to try to avoid the spurs or OKC? Perhaps they have a team they would prefer to play more than the others....if only there was a member of the media to ask these tough questions so we could know.
I can see Golden State beating Spurs tomorrow...they're garbage...bricking it all night against the Lakers. And seeing them beating Blazers as well. So if Houston want to keep the 6th seed, they might have to win the last 2 games. And if they lose both games, they may end up sliding all the way to 8th spot which is possible. Houston have lost to the Suns before in Phoenix and you never know what's going to happen in LA w/ their interior big men dominating or front end. So Houston need to be careful and play hard for both games. If Utah beat the Wolves tomorrow, you can also expect Lakers might not even make the Playoffs since the Utah's last game is at Memphis in which the game doesn't mean anything to the Grizzlies...they might rest their starters knowing the Clippers are ahead anyway. I can see the Rockets outgunning the Lakers + scrubs and beat them in their last game.
Denver is most likely locked into the 3rd seed and the Spurs are locked into the 2nd seed now. Denver has one game up on both LAC and MEM and they play @ The Bucks (Win) and at home vs the Suns. (Win) There's like... a 10 percent chance the Bucks can beat Denver, but the Suns have ZERO chance @ Denver. There are overwhelming odds that the Nuggets become the 3rd seed regardless if Memphis or LAC win out too. LAC most likely does this, while Memphis probably does. (Memphis plays: @DAL, Utah. LAC plays: POR, @SAC) At this point Houston will either be a 6th or 7th seed because the best the 8th seeded Lakers can do (In regards to Houston) is tie records with Houston if they beat the Rox in the last game AND Houston goes 0-2. In this case of a tie, Houston has the tiebreaker and is the 7th seed and will play San Antonio. If the Rockets go 1-1 and GSW go 2-0, Houston will be the 7th seed and play San Antonio. If the Rockets go 2-0, and GSW goes 2-0, Rockets are locked into the 6th and play the Nuggets. It really just comes down to two things for the Rockets now: Would you rather play the Spurs or the Nuggets? I personally think the Rockets have a MUUUUUUUCH better chance to beat San Antonio. The Spurs are 5-5 over their last 10 games, Tony Parker has not been the same since his shin injury and Manu Ginobli is out. Also the Spurs are old and will presumably tire out in a 7 game series if you can extend them. The Nuggets on the other hand are basically unbeatable at home, will have homecourt advantage, and are a bad matchup for Houston. I think GSW will win out, and I think Houston will split a pair to PHX (Who always seems to come to play against the Rockets) and LAL (Who are desperate.) This gives GSW the 6th seed and Houston the 7th, GSW play the Nuggets and Houston play the Spurs. Both are preferred matchups for both teams IMO. Houston has a shot to beat SAS. GSW have a shot to beat DEN. GSW can't beat SAS though, and HOU can't beat DEN.
