Keep an eye on that Spurs game. If the Lakers lose and end up missing the playoffs then I say it's very likely Howard jumps ship.

No he'll definitely be traded but that's life.

Dwight is not coming to Houston. He has 30 million reasons not to and now that Kobe's out of the way it's his team. He never liked playing second fiddle to Kobe. He wanted to be the next Wilt/Kareem/Shaq, he got his wish.

Let's stick with what we got. In the first year together this young team is fighting for the 6. That's pretty damn impressive. Let's at least see what they can do in the playoffs before talking off-season.

it seems Dwight hasn't learned from his Orlando debacle. It was also the same "non-committal" stance that alienated him and left the Magic hanging, and we should not forget the circus he orchestrated involving SVG, in the end falling flat on his face in front of the media.

if he had learned and humbled himself, especially with his fall from being a top 10 player at least this year, then he would fit better with the Rockets personality. but engaging in double speak and star complex behavior potentially could be more damaging to the Rockets.

i agree that he is definitely not a number 1 scoring option, but i believe he can be the number 2 scoring option.

He'd get traded, and his trade value is pretty good after his performance this season. Perhaps he would go to the Hawks as a sign/trade to get us Smith? It would bring Horford back to his natural position at the 4 and Asik at the 5.

People are so in denial. Dwight is not going to be a Rocket (at the VERY least its HIGHLY unlikely). He has no reason to leave that extra year, considering he doesn't really care about winning. We're gonna go through Free Agency, "coming close" to getting him, but not actually happening. At least Asik has been really good though.

I think Howard stays with the Lakers. It won't be easy to walk away from the money, the national attention and fame.

The Lakers organization just needs to convince Howard that they have a viable plan going forward to make the transition to the post-Kobe era.

I would love for Howard to be on the Rockets but most likely he is staying in LA. Simply put, no one gets out of LA if the Lakers want them.

I'm a sure a well-run organization like the Lakers have a plan. Probably based on bringing in Love or even Lebron.

He had 30 million reasons to stay in Orlando and it was his team. And he didn't want to be the next Wilt/Kareem/Shaq -- that was why Brooklyn and Dallas each topped LA on his wish list. He wants to win while crafting his own unique legacy.

The Bulls and Knicks had that "plan" three years ago, too. They ended up signing Carlos Boozer and Amare Stoudemire to near-max deals, instead. Free agency "plans" are a very different entity from reality, and Dwight of all people knows that.

This Lakers-Spurs match is too close for comfort. Spurs gotta pull away with this thing.

Spurs are really struggling with the Kobeless Lakers. Would be nice to get them in the first round.
