In this thread, you will re-arrange the 2012 nba draft lottery picks, due to what you have seen from them so far this year, and based on upside/potential.

The picks happened in the following order:

    1. Anthony Davis
    2. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
    3. Bradley Beal
    4. Dion Waiters
    5. Thomas Robinson
    6. Damian Lillard
    7. Harrison Barnes
    8. Terrence Ross
    9. Andre Drummond
    10.Austin Rivers
    11. Myers Leonard
    12.Jeremy Lamb
    13. Kendall Marshall
    14. John Henson

Based on what i've seen this year and due to upside/potential (in my opinion), the draft should have went like this:

    1.Damian Lillard
    2. Anthony Davis
    3.Bradley Beal
    4.Andre Drummond
    5.Harrison Barnes
    6.Dion Waiters
    7.Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
    8.Terrence Ross
    9.Myers Leonard
    10.John Henson
    11.Jeremy Lamb
    12.Kendall Marshall
    13.Thomas Robinson
    14.Austin Rivers

How do you still have Austin Rivers as a lottery pick...?

Nicholson in Orlando has looked pretty solid. Nice post game.

I would still have Anthony Davis as number 1. Even though Lillard might have played better, Davis still has much more potential.

Davis would still go number 1, and you could make a strong case for Drummond going 3 behind Lillard

Lillard wouldn't be number 1 since he was already 22. His upside is limited. His defense is abysmal and his playmaking is average. Anthony Davis and Drummond are already game changers on D and this league lacks quality big men so their value is even higher. MKG is young so I have him at 3. He has a lot of room to grow but I am not sure if he will reach his potential on the LolCats.

    1. Anthony Davis
    2. Drummond
    3. MKG
    4. Lillard
    5. Bradley Beal
    6. Dion Waiters

Joke of a thread. Rivers actually has elite skills and very solid fundamentals. His only negative is his lack of shot.

Rivers has shown more than Lamb, Robinson and Marshall. Marshall has shown that he does not even belong in the NBA.

Well, I guess you can call a .431 TS%, and needing 6.4 shots to score 6.2 points "a lack of shot", in the way that you can say "Thomas Robinson is not a good jump shooter". And given that the dude has a 114 Drtg and only 2 assists a game, I'm not sure what his positives are.

No, you're a joke. Rivers is statistically one of the worst Hornets players in franchise history.

Yeah, that Austin Rivers pick was a head scratcher from the beginning- I didn't think he'd be any good (I also didn't expect him to be this bad) but I don't understand why a team that just signed EGO-rdon to a massive deal would draft a shooting guard.

Rivers was terrible all season long. I wonder if he will manage to stick to the NBA at all after his contract is over.

If his dad's still coaching, he might get a 2nd chance there. Otherwise, he'll either be a bench rider (ala Adam Morrison) or go to Europe.

Who knows? Maybe he'll develop into a decent player with time, but right now I don't see it.

Rofl we say James Harden has a long way to go and is only 23 but Lillard being 22 means he's already done growing.. I swear the ignorance on here is amazing sometimes.
