What would y'all say the SWOT analysis of the Rockets is? Their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats? Strengths: Youth (youngest roster), Superstar in Harden, moneymaker in Lin, big market, Houston ranked #1 coolest city by forbes, Morey, offense Weaknesses: Not a consistent crowd, no recent playoff success, average coaching staff, defense Opportunities: Room for a max contract, have an opportunity to upset big dogs in playoffs Threats: Texans gaining more attention, Royce White Anything I messed up on or need to add?
Add Strengths = Flexible contracts, Daryl morey, Weaknesses = obesity Opportunities = jobs Threats = plague
Strength: nice arena with biggest screen in the league, 7th most valuable franchise in the NBA, and the franchise has a respected history in the NBA.
Strength - backcourt and scoring Weakness - front court, lack of experience and defense Opportunities - can win by outrunning older teams Threats - teams who are peaking and more rounded out with stars/coaching
Threat: Big market teams spending inordinate amounts of money on super-star players that the Rockets can't match.
Speaking of threats, what are the teams that everyone thinks are roughly the same developmental slot as the Rockets? For instance, Utah and Sac feels raw to me, and the Spurs and Knicks are old with a narrowing ring window. I'm really only concerned about OKC and Denver, I'm not really concerned about GSW for some reason, and I think it might be the general sense that they're more raw on defense than even the Rockets, due to a combination of injury and David Lee, and their offense isn't as explosive.
