On NBA Countdown today, Bill Simmons made a bold prediction that Dwight will sign with Houston. I think it's interesting people outside of Houston think he'll come. I honestly think its a real possibility he comes.
Disagree. He's a good pot-stirrer. Also, is the 2nd best personality on that show, second only to Wilbon. Magic and Jalen are trash, do not belong on TV.
He didn't say it would happen. He said something like if he were Dwight he would consider a team like Houston because of cap space and James Harden.

Maybe Morey's already prepping the media to entice Dwight to come here. Wouldn't doubt that for a bit. I know he'll make a run for him.
Logically Houston is the ideal place. Dwight + a more experienced team could potentially add 10-15 wins for this group/
I like Bill Simmons and I'm glad he's that show's token white guy. He's sarcastic but stays in the funny zone; he doesn't venture into the "I'd like to jack-slap him" territory. Dwight's a nice pipe dream. I hope I'm wrong about his chances of coming to Houston. Dwight + Harden + (let's face it) Lin = lots of TV time (I don't have and can't get Comcast and don't see that situation resolving anytime soon), and, well, Harden + Dwight would immediately launch us into the elite Western teams. If Dwight stays healthy.
If we strike out on Dwight/CP3 this off-season, i'd want Morey to trade for Pau Gasol. This gives us a legit post threat at the 4 and 5 position and we would still have max cap room again going into the 2014 off-season and be one of the top bidders for LeBron or Love.
I think the injury to Kobe makes it more likely that Dwight will stay with the Lakers. After next year Gasol and Kobe will be off the books and the Lakers can get any free agent they want to play with Dwight. The Lakers will be Dwight's team after next year. Plus, he will still want the extra cash he can get from the Lakers.
