good smokescreen for other teams. Then the first game of the playoffs, we'll pull the rug from right under them!

We have no one to run it for. Harden can create his own 3s. Lin isn't good enough to design a double screen top of the key quick 3, and any screens would be better used for a high pnr for Lin instead, and Parsons isn't fast enough to get past the elevator door.

Hope that is the case, because it seems like this team when confronted by defense and not getting foul calls seem to fold up like the chairs I have stacked in my Camry's trunk.

One of the things that will work to the Rockets' advantage during the playoffs is the lack of back-to-back games. The Rockets played with the fastest pace in the NBA this year and had one of the least experienced teams. It really showed on the second games of back-to-backs. Here's a comparison of the stats of the team, Harden, Lin and Parsons on games with 0 days rest versus games with 1-3 days rest:

    Team
    HTML:
                0 days 1-3 days
    FG% 42.7 47.1
    3P% 34.3 37.3
    TS% 53.0 57.5
    OffRtg 98.8 109.6
    DefRtg 104.7 103.1
    Harden
    HTML:
                0 days 1-3 days
    FG% 41.6 44.5
    3P% 33.6 38.7
    TS% 58.3 61.1
    OffRtg 98.3 110.1
    DefRtg 107.5 103.9
    Lin
    HTML:
                0 days 1-3 days
    FG% 38.2 46.3
    3P% 28.4 35.7
    TS% 48.4 55.9
    OffRtg 97.6 109.4
    DefRtg 106.1 103.9
    Parsons
    HTML:
                0 days 1-3 days
    FG% 40.6 51.0
    3P% 32.0 41.0
    TS% 49.8 61.0
    OffRtg 96.7 109.0
    DefRtg 101.5 103.8
It's clear that given sufficient rest between games, the Rockets can play at an extremely efficient level.

    Awesome numbers.

And it's kinda obvious that we won't change our strategy on offense. Completely changing your system when it matters the most seems counterproductive. That Mavs-Warriors playoff series still make me laugh...

The team needs to stay flexible. Keeping things going as fast as possible doesn't work against everyone, especially Denver.

only issue is that the opposing team will also probably better numbers without having to play on a back-to-back.
