    Well I'm pretty sure the Astros will do some trading this year too. Players like bud, Harrell, etc could be gone

    I'd much rather have the #1 pick. You're able to negotiate with multiple players on what they would take, much like what we did with Correa last year. Gives you an advantage with your other picks. Rodon isn't having such a stellar year this season though.

    2014 the Astros should aim for the playoffs...Sign a couple of free agents and the top prospects in the Astros farm system should be able to make it up the Majors... That is including possibly Correa who is tearing it up in the minors...Possibly if the Astros draft Appel he can possibly make a run on making the team next season...

    Wandy may be the team's highest paid player, but he isn't the highest paid Astro. :grin:

    I think next year is WAY too soon to be expecting playoff contention. We wont even have some of our most prized prospects up at the ML level until 2015 or so, and then usually it takes a season or two at the earliest before their all meshing and producing.

    if we play .500 ball next year, I will be shocked.

    Great job by Harrell to get out of that jam unscathed. I think that Shuck took some offense to Harrell's demonstrative gestures as he ran off the mound.

    I'm glad to see the enthusiasm though. It's nice to see.
