If the current standings stay the same, we'd play the Spurs in the first round. We match up really well against them (won the last game against them and lost a close one in OT without Harden) Manu is hurt and Tony isn't 100% so we could wear them down even more with our youth and speed. If we beat them, we'd have to have the Nuggets or Warriors. Playing the Warriors would be a blessing if we can continue to dominate them like we did in the regular season. The Nuggets would be tough, but much easier than the Clips or Thunder. Plus they don't have a true superstar to carry them through tough stretches.

It'll take a lot of things to go right for us to advance, but it is possible and would be extremely exciting to see our young team advance that far and gain playoff experience together. BTW, we'd have no chance vs the Thunder in the Western Finals, so let's hope the Lakers advance to play us so we can lose to the Heat in 7

Well its quite clear that we can win the championship this year, I've been saying it since the beginning of the year.

Just wait and see, I've got 50$ on this at 120-1.

The one game the Rockets beat the Spurs, Manu was a negative for them and Tony wasn't 100%. Rockets have far too many holes on defense to beat either team in a 7 game series. IMO, the key to beating SA won't be Harden, it will be Asik.

I'm hoping for 2nd round but realistically it will be a 1st round exit. Something like 4-2

The key to beating Spurs is to put Parsons on Parker and lock him down!

3 years ago, they had lots Dump-it-to-Duncan plays. That's not the case for the last three.

Parker is the engine that makes Spurs run. Stop Parker and you will stop Spurs.

The best case scenario is the memphis will be the 3rd seed and rockets 6th seed. Then if/when the rockets get past the Grizz they face the injured Spurs and hopefully win and then face either Denver or OKC in the WCF.

Top teams are top teams until one day, they aren't. And it happens quickly. Many people thought this about the Spurs but somehow Duncan was rejuvenated. But I see the narrative where a Rox victory signals the end of the Spurs dynasty and Duncan's career. The Spurs are the best opponent we could've hoped for.

OKC is the key I think, though Lin has a tendency to explode against the Spurs, and Harden against OKC.

Either way Houston has nothing to lose, and everything to gain. Looking forward to it!

$1,000 bet on us not reaching the Western conference finals. Any takers?

The best chance is multiple miracles particularly in quick succession.

The Spurs is our best matchup by far. It's pick your poison in the Western Conference, but against the Spurs I think we have a real shot at getting out of the first round. Maybe like 20%.

I agree that the Spurs are probably our best chance of advancing, but it is more than 20%. I would say maybe 21%.

We will make the Western conference finals for sure.

If we get to the finals then we are 100% sure to win.

Why not shoot for the moon and win the NBA championship ?
If we get that far then,
Our best chance is any eastern conference team not named the Heat

    gun violence, or plane crashes.

There's no other way we make the Conference Finals

people here really take for granted the fact we are even talking about WCF. I love this team, most inexperienced and theyve played above expectations this year.
