the lack of free throws for GS is fine, they've been shooting jumpers and open layups all game, the lakers have been given about 10 more free throws than they should have. (yes i really am saying it should be 28-10)
True. The "right" call doesn't have to be expected to be made 100% of the time. Just needs to have some consistency behind it and it's fine.
Kobe just fouled Klay on the arm, forcing him out of control, and they call the resulting offensive foul... of course...
The offensive foul coul was correct, but they needed to call the defensive foul before it even happened. Kobe stans will only point to the correct offensive foul call.
Exactly. And it's not that teams should have even FTAs. But when one team is getting a lot of cheap calls on jumpshots and the other isn't, that's a problem. BTW this has happened in three marquee Laker games: 2000 portland, 2002 sac, and 2010 boston, in which the Lakers to 20+ FTAs in the 4th quarter on exactly these kinds of cheap plays while the same things wen't being called on the other end. That's why people are skeptical.
Nobody is saying the Warriors should have MORE free throws. They are just saying that the Lakers have 2X more foul calls is kind of fishy.
