Players get paid for what they enjoy doing, which in turns, fan can ridicule them as much as they want. As for who gets the last shot? It's a simple equation that we all know the answer too, but yet we're too stubborn to acknowledge it. Hot hand or not, your super star player should delivered the final blow. Either for a win or a lost, the ball should be in his hands during the last possession because that's what separates him as an All Star caliber player.

DING!! DING!! DING!! Exactly! The NBA's Refs have NO respect for the Rockets! It's already enough we are gonna be playing a Top 3 team first round but its gonna be a 2 on 1 handicap playoff series... Rockets vs. (insert Rockets' opponent here) AND the referees! *SMH*

Both Lin and Harden were getting hit but weren't getting many calls. The play where Bayless stepped in front of Harden on the fast break for the charge was just turrible.

The reading comprehension is pretty bad around here after losses. Didn't say I believed everything Clyde said. Just letting Durvasa know that someone else, who's played the game, mentioned that Lin had the hot hand.

its not about who got the last shot..harden took a high percentage shot and rightly so. what people are critizing harden for are the three possessions he messed up before the last one

No need to bring animosity into this. I am calling it as I see it regarding Harden. To ahhh: What exactly are his superstar skills and talent? His go to moves are, as said before, driving hard left (which he’s good at), euro stepping at every opportunity. His midrange and post game are rarely shown (if he even has one). His 3 ball is ok and he is not particularly athletic.
You’re right, his stats overstate his impact on the game! I strongly disagree with #8 on ESPN, he is top 20, not top 10. There are several talented big men and guards who are better than him.
As for J sizzle, it’s Harden’s 4th year in the league right? He has had a whole season now to blend in with his team and develop chemistry but he was playing hero ball like he usually does. History has shown that truly great wing players are well developed by their 4th year. D wade won a title in his 3rd year on a crappy Miami team.
Kevin Durant was already a 2x scoring champ and led his team to the finals. Kobe’s skills were incredible by his 4th year. Chris Paul, Deron Williams and Derrick Rose were also great by their 4th year. I am not saying Harden can’t improve, but at this point, what gives you reason to believe he is going to be a franchise guard like the ones I named above?

I've never heard Matt Bullard get worked up like that on the air. And how many times have we seen Harden lose his cool? Almost never. It's good to see emotion sometimes.

I agree to some extent that ref bashing is weak sauce but tonight was inexcusable! 7-8 different possessions were called against the Rockets when it was plainly obvious, clear as day, we got screwed by them and should have had WAY more points, more opportunities to score.

Harden having 8 turnovers? 4 of them courtesy of the NBA refs that officiated our game!

Regardless, Clyde's insights on the game is highly questionable even for an ex player. Using him as a reference is not much credence to the argument, that's like quoting Lindsey Lohan on how to act like a lady.

Yes, it was an awkward and dangerous fall for Harden. I was so glad he didn't get injured. It's good for him tho to get mad for the right reasons tonight.

You stated your opinion as a fact. All those players you listed started immediately. This is Harden's first shot at it. His first shot as a superstar and the main focus of his team. One year to develop chemistry? How did that work out for Miami the first year? And they have the top players you mentioned. And D-Wade had Shaq. Yes, an older Shaq but still a productive player. Durant has Westbrook. Rose has had multiple options around him. Williams screwed himself when he left the Jazz but he had help there when he started. And Kobe? Really? He only had the most dominant player inthe league on his team (and Kobe did struggle his first year as a full time starter). You're not comparing apples to apples here bud.

Harden has Lin and Parsons. Where exactly would you rank Lin and Parsons if you rank Harden top 20? Top 50? Top 100? I'm open for criticizing Harden's play in the fourth tonight as well as the bad TOs the past two games, but let's be realistic here.

We'll probably have 7th locked up with the Warriors win over LAL.

If you don't understand the difference between Harden's situation his first 3 years and players like Deron Williams, Durant, CP3, D Wade, and D Rose, then there's no sense debating with you because you just don't get it.

Harden was forced into a bench role behind 2 other superstars. All the other players you mentioned were all instantly handed the team and allowed to learn for multiple years how to be the top option.

Those are not comparable to Harden at all.

Silver lining: This is the best D I've seen Harden play all season. Good to know that he has it in him.
