Harden has a desperate need to be a hero...whenever it goes into situations like tonight he gets tunnel vision and wants to hit the winning shot himself. Open teammates don't matter.

How do you decide he has a "hot hand"? Maybe he just made 2 shots. There's no law that if you make a jumper or two, your chances of hitting the next one automatically goes up.

The winning shot was wide open. Stop crying, every superstar would take that shot 10 times out of 10. It didn't go in, that doesn't mean Lin should have got the ball.

 

T Jones is starting to put his own case together as to why he should be starting. We saw some really good stuff out of him, he could have been on the all-rookie nba team had we played him more, but what's done is done. Extremely happy to have his production right now.

I love the hell outta Harden but why is everyone seemingly making an excuse for him? Those, what...4 or so possession before the open jumper were damn horrible. I thought he shoulda' passed it - kicked it out to someone else. Hell, they could have let Lin try to score and or drive then kick. We were poised to take the lead, imo, after Lin tied the game. Smh. F*** morale victory. We should have won that one. Where the hell was the play that was drawn up.

 

I wouldn't mind seeing him start. We need Greg to back up Asik or else it's DMo. And DMo's not ready to play 5 and TJones is too short.

I think you are seeing retaliation for all the hate spewed on Lin throughout the season. In fact if you look back through this thread you'll see plenty of hate directed towards him. the LOF's are just trying to throw stones at another guy which I think is uncalled for.

 

Memphis, aside from Austin Daye, is one bruising team. Nice to see us battle them and the refs, even through all our turnovers. That was an NBA playoff-type game.

Gasol's little set shot is an effective weapon. Wish Omer would shoot one of those every now and then...

 

There is no law that says this, but I'm sure you know how it feels to see your own shot go in after another. You get into a rhythm and when you're in that rhythm, you just KNOW your next one is going in; and when you just KNOW your shot is going in, guess what, it will.

That is how I feel when I shoot, that is how many players, particularly young players, feel.

 

Harden

Bev - shutdown Conley in the last 9:00 min.

Lin- held Bayless to 3 points in the 4 Q/ and blocked his shot

Harden - held Prince to 0 points and blocked his shot twice in the 4Q

 

Lakers 8 fts Warriors 2.

 

I'm not mad about the last shot, it was the previous one or something where harden attempted a highly contested three and Lin was wide open and if that didn't work he coulda swung it again. But harden chose to shoot that three when he had time to pass even with a hand in his face. I personally want to face the spurs do this lose doesn't matter to me, but harden has got to start not trying to force things sometimes.

 

LOL that is what I was saying. Our end game play drawing leaves a lot to be desired. THere was no jermaine o'neal tonight.

I would have taken Bev out put in Garcia & run a play for Harden to create a wide open 3 for a teammate. Lin had just hit 2. Garcia can knock down a few 3's. Harden wasn't going to finish that lay up at all, Memphis D is way to good for that. Anyway can't even be mad at this loss. Team battled. They got a taste of what the post season will be like.
