You think posts can't get any worse then you come in and prove that no, there are bigger idiots still popping up.

Its not surprising though, most people that post in the game thread have no basketball knowledge.

There was nothing at all wrong with the last possession.

Harden over-penetrated in the previous possessions and was out of control. He was looking to draw fouls. You drive in too deep, and its not longer an easy pass to the 3-point line.

But don't lose sight of the fact that this is a VERY good defensive team we were facing. Harden's possessions looked bad, but no one was in a good offensive rhythm. Running a play for anyone else would have been a low-probability maneuver, IMO.

The Rockets shot 31% and still almost beat your team, so I don't think you can talk about "not good enough". There were some terrible calls / no calls, Tony Allen sliding under Harden for a "charge" and cheap shot elbowing Lin in the back of the head after rebound, but whatever. Rockets had a chance to win in a game where they shot terribly and turned the ball over. I'll take it.

Just proves that we are 1 player away from being a really good team. I can't wait til free agency begins and Morey makes 'that' move.

We just don't have enough good options to close out tough games against th better teams. We do need Parsons back though to get our proper rotation back.

Lin is learning and getting better out there. He and Asik are doing well in their first year as starters. Lin is just not ready to be a go to 2nd option on a consistent basis. I know a lot of people say Harden shoots too much, but Harden makes plays. He averages a good number of assists per game. So he is not a ball hawg.

This was a good learning exp for them.

Harden was wide open, but he wasn't even trying to do anything else. He was going to shoot no matter what. That is the point I'm making. He wasted 4 straight possessions in a game this close and all of them were either bad shots or desperation attempts to draw fouls. He should play a bit smarter no ? Also back to back games with 8 turnovers.

yea, people around here think it's perfectly acceptable to just let Harden go iso every single time.

Look at the Celtics, Paul Pierce doesnt every late shot. I remember a game where was a decoy and set back-screen and got Jeff Green the game winning lay up. These coaches wouldnt even have the balls to try to execute that.

Green's hit other game winning shots....Jason Terry's got a few too that result from passing (GASP!) the ball despite the fact that there's less than 10-15 seconds left.

Pretty sure it was broken play and harden just happened to get his man off balance, but the play def was for Harden to take the shot no matter what....

Yeah good effort for most of the second half against bad, inconsistent officiating. Oh well if Lin didn't get shot at the end boo hoo.

Delfino (first time I've seen him pass up a shot) is a cause for worry. James Anderson's DNP-CD another cause for worry.

I am with Parsons, I loved the effort, the atmosphere. The Rockets really battled and almost won it. Good preparation for the playoffs. A little more pressure to win the rest of the games, but great game with a playoffs feel about it.
