    I'm starting to think that the officiating isn't even a question of swallowing whistles. I remember reading an article that the refereeing pool is heavily diluted this year with new refs, and the quality on reffing may be taking a hit on nights like tonight when there are a ton of NBA games on the same night.

    The national games get the best refs, the rest of the teams have to make do with questionable reffing.

    Like that hack on Asik was plain as day, and like some of the other calls the refs were out of position and either swallowing their whistles or miscalling them when they can't even see what is happening on the floor.

    Ref inconsistency makes it very hard on a given night for players.

    The point is you can't play 2 out of 4 quarters and beat many teams...we did Minn. and the miracle against Phoenix at the buzzer. They get payed to play all 4 quarters...not just one or two. Close game...could pull it out which would make me delirious but again won't win consistently playing half a game.
