1. If Duncan's 17 ft jumper is falling (and it usually is), Duncan will give Asik a lot of problems. 2. We beat them once by 1 point, and Parker didn't go off. He shot 7/13 and finished with 23 points. And in that game, Harden shot 17 free throws. 3. Parker has a lot of nagging injuries, but nothing major. 6. A Spurs killer that is 1-3 against the Spurs is not really a "Spurs killer".

It's not a good matchup, obviously. They excel in the fastbreak and we don't use our bigs at all to take advantage of their weak frontcourt. But I'd always rather play the worst team possible and the Spursand Thunder are simply best two teams in the conference if healthy. I'll take my chances against the Nuggets.
Point blank we are 0-4 against Nuggets simple as that NO EXCUSES San Antonio Spurs 1-3 Harden was still Harden in the Spurs match ups. Lin had 30 plus points when Harden was out. Asik knows how to defend Duncan (See game 4). Spurs lost in the 1st round a few time in the last couple years. They are banged up WE CAN BEAT THEM Nuggets on the other hand tell me any positives?? We were out hustled by Faried. Iggy owns Harden. Shot blockers everywhere that wouldn't let Lin explode at all. What's there home court record? THEY ARE A TERRIBLE MATCHUP
You do realize we need to beat them 4 times in order to advance? Come playoff time, Manu and tony are going to be ready. I honestly don't see we can beat them 4 times. Otoh, Denver plays up and down, the traveling disadvantage we have had agains those fools will probably be minimized. Las game, we almost had a 20 pt lead some point against them without parsons. I like ou chances beating them 4 times.
good post...an added bonus to playing denver (besides the injured lawson and gallo) is...IF ... we do win we will have the advantage of basically training in high altitude by playing Denver at home. In MMA all the great stamina guys train in high altitude right before their fights so when they come back to normal they are able to preform much better. So if we win this might just give us the edge we need to fuel our running game and move on further into the playoffs. I love being the hopeless optimist. ; )
I really hate the Denver match up but I think if we can some how win one game in Denver we got this series. We will have two chances to win one game and I think we might be able to win that second game. We will be use to the altitude so hopefully we can get the W.
I don't think Nuggs would sweep us without two of their best players. If it's going to be a track meet, I like our young legs. I think McHale should let TJones and TRob play more if we were to meet those fools.
Two words: blood doping Rockets should each store a couple of pints of their own blood a bit before and then transfuse before the series starts. Rockets sweep 4-0.
Against them Nuggs, it's the turnovers and manimal. For turnovers, we gotta put them on the equal footing. We can't be runing as they are but turn it over more. For Manimal, we have TJones and TRob to match up the energy. The Nuggs just like us is an energy team. Up and down, anything can happen.
We don't guard the 2s well and their 2s score well. We don't guard Tiago well and he Splits teams up who focus on Duncan. I do think this is the one match-up we'd have a prayer of a chance against in Round I as Pop seems to move Spurs up by degrees as they progress thru the p/o's. Catch'm sleeping? (Like I said, a prayer of a chance.)
It's not like the Rockets can only be beaten by championship caliber teams. Nuggets have had our number all season. Granted, the regular season means absolutely nothing when the playoffs start, but losing to a team whenever we've played them isn't something you can outright forget. tl;dr We should be wary of every single team, regardless of their "beatability."
