Tiger's Drive For Five: The Masters 2013 Thread

Yeah, it seems like he always busts out of the gates to set the pace, but then fades away as the pressure mounts.

 

Tiger at -2 after playing pretty average. Very Solid, will be in the final group on Sunday.

 

Yup, he could've easily been -4 or so, but -2 is a good start for Tiger... he rarely ever breaks 70 at the Masters... won 3 out of the past 4 times he opened with a 70. Look for him to go off and be near the lead, if not in it, by the end of the tomorrow.

Kid was super impressive today with a +1... that's unreal... hope he makes the cut.

 

What do you guys think the cut will be at this year +1/+2?

 

Depends on the weather tomorrow. Could be lower if the greens get slowed up by the rain. It's +1 right now.

 

Missed watching him today, hopefully I can watch him play tomorrow-sun. Looks like he had a solid day with 70.

 

Technically the cut is +4 right now since they keep everyone within 10 strokes of the lead, but I'm sure that will change by tomorrow...

 

I will be cheering Guan on today. Fortunately, the have Tiger in one of the last pairings today, so we actually get to watch most of his round. Why in the world don't they let anyone see the early round action on Thurs-Friday? Business productivity?

 

I thought I read that it was top 50 + ties. I apparently read it wrong as it's top 50 + ties AND within 10 strokes.

I'm watching Amen Corner on masters.com. This is not on tv anywhere else at the moment. Why do they keep leaving for commercial break...and show no ads?

 

Hate to sound like I am bragging, but I just got back from attending Wednesdays practice round/par 3 tournament and yesterdays 1st round in person! Place is simply amazing. Watching on tv/internet does not do this course and place justice. The elevation changes on each hole is simply unreal. This is a trip that I recommend anyone make if they can. Two days are plenty, and the par 3 tourney and 1st round really was enough to get the full experience.

I can't wait to watch it all weekend on my couch now.

kid gave a great interview. sounds like the powers that be wanted to show him who was boss and give him a penalty that never gets assessed.

wow they just said that hasn't happened since 2004. kind of sickening.
