lol touche' but i meant as in a series haha iggy is good but there lack of a "superstar" per say could backfire. also the losses of gallo and possibly lawson are crucial for them...also in 09 the rockets were swept by the lakers in the regular season but ended up taking them 7 games so hey anything can happen!
just read my above post but yeah. us vs denver is a bad matchup for us but it may not be as bad as others think...i guess im just being an optimist in this situation lol
Denver holds the tie breaker, will have better record against Western conference teams. Denver wins 4 straight SA 3-1. 2-2.
I wonder what Morey's advanced stats say about winning vs. resting the last few games of the regular season. You want to avoid injuries, but you also want to stay in competitive form. If this were the NFL, we would definitely bench our starters after the first quarter, if not whole games.
Exactly! They don't even have a set rotation. McHale has just figured out he can play Lin and Beverly together when Harden sits and that Greg Smith is his best option at PF with T Jones showing some solid work as backup. Two weeks ago those guys weren't even playing the pf spot. And that group hasn't even worked with Parsons. Plus Garcia has proven to be are best 3 point shooter on the team, more consistent to Delfino. How do you work him in? Especially with less minutes for Delfino with Beverly taking some of his. All of this is recent stuff and needs to be figured out and it won't be done before the playoffs begin. If we win that first series watch out whoever we get second. We'll be gellin' by then.
I don't understand why everyone saying we should take the 6th seed, it's good to have positive attitude but we should be realistic too, The Nuggets are one of the scariest teams going into the playoffs, they are deep at every position, even with Galo out I still see them pulling a big upset and reaching the conference final, IMO our best bet is the spurs.
Does Clutch allow ban bets? Because I would bet you a permaban that the Nuggets will not take the 2nd seed.
Anyone who believes SA will be an easier matchup than Denver is a fool. SA may look a little vulnerable at times, but you better believe they know how to turn it up when it counts. They are proven, disciplined, grizzled-vets and will eat our lunch in the playoffs. We'd be lucky to get 1 game from them whereas Denver I could easily see us pushing it to 6 or 7 games.
I'm mostly concerned that Royce white will be unavailable regardless of seeding. Don't see how we get out of first round without him and the bang bus!
EXACTLY! Im not as high on SA though because it has been proven that they can be upset ala memphis 2011 but I do feel that we MIGHT have a better chance against denver due to injuries and lack of star power
