If you exclude chit chatting, facebook, gchat, clutchfans, sleeping, eating, etc. How many hours do you really work?

Work begins when I enter the building and ends when I leave.

    No exceptions.

Well, I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late, ah, I use the side door - that way Lumbergh can't see me, heh - after that I sorta space out for an hour.

Yeah, I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch too, I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work.

Solid 5-6 hours a day for a normal day. More when a project is due. That's just being honest when you include time to take a dump, get coffee, gossiping about office politics, what was on TV and sports, etc.

I agree. Usually this is my scenario unless I have a project due, then I become
like the Roadrunner and don't stop until I'm finished. (8+)

Last 2 summers I've interned and usually I put in a solid 5-6 hours of work, then 2-3 hours of Clutchfans/ESPN/Twitter/etc...depending on the day

Lately I've been in operation shutdown mode and it's been slow. So it's been pretty bad recently. The masters will keep me occupied today

I'm currently in lame duck status as I have another job waiting in the wings and I'm just staying here until the end of the month because the money is better here.

Right now, 1 hour tops in an 8-hour day. I'm actually running out of Internet.

Solid 7 hours for consulting. Feel guilty about the 8th but I try to work hard and smart.

Anywhere from 4-9hrs per day. But my job is driven by the sales team, so if the sales aren't coming, there's not much work.
