Seems like Knicks lack the composure in pressure games. Their loss to CHI reinforces that view. How will they perform vs. BOS? We might see a meltdown
Nah, Boston is just not very good. They don't have the talent to compete. But Indiana might give them a run for their money.
They don't have to be that good... as RoxBeliever said, the Knicks tend to melt down, especially when push comes to shove. They are complete mental midgets, and you can bet your ass that Garnett and Pierce will be trolling them to no end.
our defense would be a lot higher rated by such arbitrary stats if we got to face leastern conference offenses night in night out too.
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/6WZayuheIxE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> KMart does not like the Warriors. He's so angry, he doesn't even know what to do with the ball after the dunk.
they foul basically every play. Good if they have refs like Eli Roe against us. Bad when the fouls get called (Washington shot what? 40 free throws against them?)
nothing to do with officiating in that game. help defense has been AWOL the last few games. John Wall simply dominated George Hill. Normally, no problem because of the help defense. that's really what the Pacers are -- a very tall, long team with great help defense. Paul George can be the best help defender in the league when he wants to. As for fouls, the Pacers are physical but they get called less than average. http://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/opponent-fta-per-fga http://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/opponent-free-throw-rate They have a few physical guys but overall they aren't brutes, outside of Hansbrough and West they are even soft-ish, they are just very long and very well coached. Actually, i suspect if you asked Morey to build a defensive team, he'd build something like the Pacers. They are the best team at taking away the "statistically good" shots - transition, 3s, layups - and they give you a bunch of midrange jumpers. Which is also where the matchup is so bad for the Rockets, they aren't very comfortable with midrange game - while a team like the Thunder with Westbrook, Durant and Ibaka just kills them. I think blaming officials is kind of wishful in the Rockets-Pacers case, it's just a poor matchup for the Rockets.
