So since the ESPN analysts predict the Lakers, the league is rigged...

    Solid logic

Umm no, and I didnt say the league was rigged, can you please stop putting words on the forums that I didnt say.

The constant thumping is annoying. TNT does it right, not picking homer analysts to throwing out all kinds of bias feelers and crap.

Well when you go, "imnot surprised that the nba or the so called experts always go with the predictable, but then wants us to believe they dont rig games..." in reference to the Lakers, you kind of seem to be implying it, but maybe not.

And yeah TNT is definitely the best. Except for Reggie Miller.

The NBA only shows its support and that includes through the media to certain teams and thats nothing new.

You dont see Utah getting plugs even though theyre in thick of it also, especially when its on nights they arent even playing....

Sometimes you get sick and tired of the nonsense, then the league has to fabricate viewer numbers to make it seem like it was some kind of record watched game or series every single year.

It's because it's all about the ratings and less about actual analysis. The overall viewership is going to want to hear about the more popular teams/players, and the Lakers are by far the most recognizable team with some of the most recognizable players. It gets annoying, but you can't blame them. They're a company and they want to maximize their finances, so naturally the largest media markets will be focused on.

If you want true unbiased analysis, you pretty much have to stick to the internet.

I mean like internet articles. Like Grantland for instance posts about a lot of teams, and they actually analyze offensive/defense schemes and such.

They have some good reads. And it's not Lakers/Heat 24/7. Some actual variety happens which is nice.

Exactly my point... they shove down your throat whom they want to be popular.

Case in point the Spurs get treated badly. They won as many rings as the Lakers in the 2000's yet they got no backing, they were called boring, the finals series with Detroit was lauded as some kind of tooth pulling session...

IMO $$ comes before actual fairness or anything else that makes sense, just like any other corporation.

Some Lakers fans are totally bipolar. Just yesterday they said the season was over. Now some are thinking 6th seed is all possible??

I'll never get how people think the Spurs are boring. They play great offense, great defense, and they always have such high BBIQ's.

I absolutely agree but it was an image that was created. Look at how long Duncan was criticized for not being a show off chest thumper.

in the 2000's, the Lakers went to 3 straight finals twice and another one and won 5 out of 7.

the Spurs only won 3 in the decade, winning every other year so one wants to give them credit for the dynasty...

Look man... at the time LA won 3, San Antonio won 3

That's completely illogical to try to categorize a freaking championship... a ring is a ring, and not only that Tim Duncan was as dominant as Shaq in his generation.. You know as well as I do that the Spurs didnt get their due.
