people make a good case that Denver might be beatable, but that home court advantage scares me that arena will be deafening, not to mention the altitude
I rather see OKC beat Warriors so that will guaranteed OKC the #1 seed we will avoid playing them if we get #7 or #6. I guess Denver ain't bad....Spurs also ain't bad, they're more fundamentally sound and i think we fair better against Spurs but hopefully Denver suck it up in Playoffs lol.
Definitely rooting for OKC. I want OKC to get the 1 seed. They scare me more than any other team in the West. I think Rox have small chance against Denver or SA. I give them no chance against OKC.
I'm sorry but you don't know basketball if you WANT to face Denver -_- they pretty much raped up all season...much rather face OKC just for entertainment
What does he know; he is a stat nerd? Missed the OKC/Spurs series or the OKC/Heat series? The Spurs were on fire, then went ice cold. OKC was on fire against the Spurs, went cold against the Heat and the Heat played better than they had all season.
How on Earth did the Rockets get lucky, and back into the playoffs?? They are 7-3 over their last 10 games, and since going 21-21 over the first 42 games of the season, they are 23-13. New Yorkers have to be a slight bit mentally r****ded......
What?? You realize that's EXACTLY the point that Morey was making, right?? The Thunder were better than the Spurs last year in terms of talent, and the Heat were better than the Thunder. The better team won BOTH of those series, DESPITE hot streaks from the other team. Things even out over 100s of possessions. The year that the Mavericks lost to the Warriors? Golden State was 3-1 against them that year, even though they were an 8 seed. I'm pretty sure the General Manager and architect of the youngest team to make the playoffs (in terms of minutes played) in the shot clock era knows a thing or two about what it takes to SUCCEED in the playoffs.
How is this even debatable? I know one can argue that it's better to play the Spurs than Nuggets. But there's no argument that playing OKC, the best team in the WC, is better than Denver. If OKC is the 7th seed and so are we, we are screwed.
Root for multiple injuries in the top 4 teams, becuz when we make the playoffs morality is no longer an option
Im going with the OKC on this one. I want the 6th seed because Morey wants it. Spurs can beat us with experience alone and OKC with athleticism. Yes Denver maybe as athletic as OKC but they're shorthanded right now and experience wise since we got harden maybe that will even it out. I like our chances against Denver even if they beat us 4 times this season. We are due to win some games against them and the best time for it is in the Play-offs.
If you understand the game of basketball, its about matchups. In a series this is very important due to the fact you will see your opponent night in and out.Game planning is essential and enough said our best matchup is S.A. and I believe we could give them a run for their money. Denver would be fun to watch , okc would be hyped and entertaining, but you have to either want the rockets to get spanked by these teams or actually have a chance to advance.fu#$ just getting to the playoffs , lets make some noise while we are in the building. I guarantee you will get Dwight and any other free agents attention. If you know better then San Antonio is the way to go....
The Spurs were playing out of their minds, then OKC killed them. Many didn't see that coming. I think a good number of folks thought OKC would win the series with the Heat; they were dominated. It is easy to say the better teams won, but did they really? They were better during the series, but were they the "better" team. How can you "know" that?
