I remember Bill saying that the Rockets were on pace to break the NBA 3 point shooting record this season which is at 841 in a year by the Orlando Magic (we still are). Unfortunately, the Knicks are ahead of us and actually just broke the record tonight in the 1st quarter. Even if we break the Magic's record (which we will), the Knicks will in all likelihood have more than us anyway, and would own the record. I blame Novak
it's amazing how the 3 pointer has become such an integral part of the modern NBA offense. Of course, I'm old enough to remember watching Rockets games when there was no 3-pt line.
Wise words. We have to keep on getting better. As long as our guys don't give up and keep on fighting, we will be ok.
I keep saying this. We need to sign Kyle Korver this offseason. If not him than Reddick or maybe Morrow. Garcia is good too. Just trying to think who is available.
We aint consistent, we don't really know how to shoot 3s. We are throwing it just to try our luck like playing with the slot machine. knicks deserve the record, i think.
We are about 13 made threes behind NY. Good for 4th all time for now.
Rk Season Tm Lg G W L W-L% 3P 3PA 1 2009-10 ORL* NBA 82 59 23 .720 841 2241 2 2005-06 PHO* NBA 82 54 28 .659 837 2097 3 2012-13 NYK* NBA 77 51 26 .662 837 2221 4 2012-13 HOU NBA 78 44 34 .564 824 2248 5 2008-09 NYK NBA 82 32 50 .390 823 2284 6 2008-09 ORL* NBA 82 59 23 .720 817 2147 7 2007-08 ORL* NBA 82 52 30 .634 801 2074

It will be broken again soon enough. One of those records that are very much in flux right now because of where the game is going.
Sign good 3pt shooters than can defend as well. And i think Korver is the right choice. You don't want to sign good 3pts shooter than can't defend cuz then they don't get much minutes on the court anyway.
