I agree. Beverly is arguably the best perimeter defender on the team (which probably isn't saying much on this team), that alone makes him a better option in the backcourt with Harden. Lin is the better distributor of the two though, but that doesn't matter much when his teammates can't score.

But for a rookie without even half a season under his belt he's doing a great job.

Him being the best perimeter defender is a good reason why i feel he should start next to Harden.
Jeremy Lin should be our Jason Terry. Our Kevin Martin. Our Manu Ginobili. This is the role he should and would play for this team.

    lol.

Bev sucks at 3pt shooting, and same like lin he goes to the paint and passes it off to Harden or Dmo, or Garcia. He's afraid to drive to the basket sometimes and doesn't even have a mid jumper. (At least Lin tries)

That guy plays his heart out on the court. He is good for the team in more ways than one.

Those guys can actually shoot... But Jeremy may find himself coming off the bench next season if he can't be more consistent on the court with Harden. Rather it be because Beverly improves are Morey brings in another guard. I actually think G-Lock will give both Lin and Beverly a run for their money.

Yep, 38% from 3 is terrible.

Anyone watching him shoot can see he's not that good of a shooter.

His shooting is certainly adequate. Maybe he doesn't end up at 38%, but to say he sucks is not true. Also, "anyone" may not know what he is talking about.

A few bad shooting games and he is a bad shooter. If that is the case then so is Jeremy.
Anyway, all the other things he does on the court make up for it.

What does it take for him to be consistent enough for you to stop moaning about starting him? All star numbers everyday? Even then, you wouldn't want to start him, though. Beverley's more consistent? G-Lock?

Do you know that Harden, Parsons, Asik all have inconsistent games? It's just Lin sticks out for you, cuz you don't like him. And though Lin's shot like 40% from 3 in the last 3 months, higher during crunch time, you're still talking about how Lin can't shoot? Do you know that Harden and Parsons has shot equally poor games as often if not more than Lin? No player, not Nash, not CP3, not Harden has good games all the time. Just because they get their "numbers" every game doesn't mean that they were playing well. If Lin kept shooting hot or cold, he can average those numbers as well, but he'd shoot us out of our game and he wouldn't do that as he's a point guard and a good one at that.

As great has Beverley has been, any talk of Lin not being the obvious starting pg and our best pg is ridiculous at this point. Really, first TD is better, then Beverley, now Goudelock? Shoot, I would bet that if AB had a few good scoring games, which I'm sure he's capable of doing, you'd be wanting him to start over him as well. What does it take for him to be deserving of a starting position in your opinion? 18 & 8? 15 & 6? What is it and once he gets there, can you guys just cut out the negativity please. I like Beverley probably more than most posters here and I've been a big fan since day 1, but you guys really are blinded and incredibly biased when it comes to Lin. And the funny thing is I don't even think you see it!! He could average 18 & 8 and you'd say the same thing. I know it.

The last 5 games for Lin.

    18.4 ppg
    8.6 apg
    47% fg
    37% 3pfg

And you want him to come off of the bench?

You've got it all wrong. No one is advocating that Lin not start because we don't like. Well, i'm not. As i mentioned before, what i am advocating is that he be our J. Terry/K. Mart/Ginobili off the bench. They should switch the PG's to better even out the line-ups. With Beverley starting, you have a better help defender next to Harden who is known to also be suspect in the defense department.
At the same time, you give Jeremy the same type of freedom he had in his pre-Carmelo days in NY. Lin-sanity is sure to follow.

Then you'll be back to a square one because no one benches a player with Linsanity numbers. :D
