Guess I missed that one. Anyhow shows how much improved he is in the TO category. Hopefully James will improve next year as well.
did the writer of the article note that Lin was missing his jumpers the whole game? or that everyone was missing their 3s? McHale tends to put the ball in Harden's hands when Lin is not scoring well. Rockets fans are just grateful we won this game, even though it was not a good game for us.
Amateurish garbage trying to stir up non-issues to try to get webhits. Sounds like he doesn't even watch the games.
I should say Lin came through with the points in the clutch. Those FTs were huge. Glad they can watch each other's backs. I'm glad McHale used a def-off substitution pattern with Lin and Beverley in the endgame, and went with both of them on the last play. Notice that McHale has been using rotations that fans have been suggesting earlier? I got a peek into his mind though when he intimated that he didn't pull TJones right away from the endgame because he wanted him to learn to defend a veteran. "That's how he'll learn." Maybe those coaching decisions we were not crazy about during the season were his ways of allowing players to make mistakes and learn during actual play?
Lol No! McSuccess has been castigated for the exact opposite, not allowing Lin and to a lesser degree Asik play through their mistakes.
Here is what I do not get.... On these boards I read if Lin has a high number of turnovers it is good, because he is being aggressive and the Rockets win.... but apparently the same does not hold true for Harden. Also, turnovers are not always a result of handling the ball too much, they can be the result of steals, fouls not called, etc. Next year Harden will not handle the ball as much, but it won't be Lin with an increase in usage, it will be the team as a whole getting their hands on the ball more.
Harden TS% for the game was 0.608. This is very good compare to the league average of 0.53 But for Harden this was an average game. This game was 36/74 best shooting performance for him. Harden is such efficient scorer that everyone is use to him having 30pt on 15 shots. Only LBJ and Durant our more efficient then him. Just be happy at 23 he is the Rockets #1 options.
Who was doing all the work when Harden and Parsons was out and we beat a play off team that is currently seeded higher than us? Everyone chipped in and ballmovement was the key.....
Actually 33 points while using 37 possessions is very unimpressive, smarty pants. Not only is it unimpressive, it's actually quite trashy. Harden had a terrible game last night. He played so bad we were tied with one of the worst teams in the league and won by freak accident.
When Harden manages to combined a low shooting percentage and a ton of turnovers into one ballgame, he's not efficient and he's not average. He becomes a below average NBA player when he does those two things together.
No he did not improve. Only reason his TOs are down is because he's playing the SG role, and standing in the corner more. You as an LOF should know that already... Didn't a lot of people say Lin's TOs are GOOD because it means he's being aggressive and getting teammates involved? How come Harden's TOs are bad now even in a win?
Man. Still amazes me how some people can have next to no understanding of this game, yet try to act like they have it all figured out. A couple posts in here are some real head scratchers.
I think they like Lin having the turnovers because that's a sign that Lin is actually handling the ball more. That being said, Harden is quite capable as a point guard as well and is much more deadly on the offensive end with the ball in his hands.
You and me both. I've been trying to learn who's trolling, who's being sarcastic and who's just plain ignorant. Luckily it's a small percentage of the whole. Much better than other forums.
Yeah a win just barely at home against the last place team. Harden as the PG is a huge coaching mistake. His assists/turnover ratio is far worse than any other PG in the league. I'm not saying he's not effective to some degree but he just doesn't have the quickness to play that position. I'm saying quickness not speed - there's a big difference there. The Rockets have the perfect PG - JLin and he's being played as a SG. BIG mistake.
