What is unbelievable is that we got him for nothing. If we had acquired him with a late first round or early second round pick, I think we would be saying he was a steal. Garcia, Olbrecht, Brooks, maybe Anderson will all be gone soon, but I think Beverley is here to stay.
If Bev were 7-8 inches taller, then we can all tell Dwight, Millsap, JSmoove, even Love to.... KISS OUR BUTT! BTW, I remember Beverley's mom was interviewed during a game at TC. She must feel proud by now..........
Loves this dude, he plays as if his life depends on it. He needs to work on his jumper and 3 pointer. He's wide open. I did like that they replaced JLin with him for defensive purposes. His D is 10,000 times better than JLin and we need stops going down the stretch to win playoff games.
A great pick up by Morey and definitely completes our need for another quality guard. In the beginning of the season, one of the biggest problems with our team was the pg position, with Lin being all terrible and TD our only back up option. Now we're looking good there. Love Bev!! Amazing athlete and another great guy on our awesome team.
I have a strong feeling that Bev is going to play a big part in their playoff success.Especially if he is out there on the floor with Harden.
I'm really excited that they are starting to play Lin and Beverley together in the backcourt. This is probably only due to the fact that Parsons and Delfino are both out, which takes away our backup 2, as well as forcing our 3rd string 2's to play at the 3 -- but still, it has been an effective backcourt. Beverley plays well with either Harden or Lin, and Lin is large enough to guard about half the SG's in the league. Beverley is awesome. Anything the Rockets can do to get him more playing time on the court will be appreciated by me.
Frankly I don't subscribe to the amount of love this board gives to the kid, like with Lowry and Dragic in the past, I think some folk just like to jump on the new guy with potential. That being said, his jumping ability is great, I honestly thought he did the goal tending until the replay where it shows him hilariously held his hands back to avoid touching anything. A great change of pace player, although he is streaky as hell when it comes to his scoring at times.
Haha yeah that was hilarious. Makes you wonder how dumb O'Neal is if a rookie realized what was going on and held himself back in time. I liked what McHale did last night subbing Lin and Bev in and out in crunch time. While I don't think Lin is a worse defender, Bev is definitely a pest and spark. My only complaint is that he tends to get overexcited, such as last night when he came in for Lin and almost immediately fouled Dragic which put us over the limit and gave Scola some FTs. That said, he's a rook. He'll learn. Love his hustle.
No doubt on that one, the way he hustles and plays defense he will force the NBA to take notice of him if they haven't already.

For every 5 Royce White's there is a Patrick Beverly. Glad we got him and we got him locked up for another year.
Jumper and 3-pter? The dude is like 39% from 3 and 80% from the FT line. His stroke is fine. His off-the-dribble game maybe could use some work, as well as his ability to finish in traffic.
Stats don't tell the whole story. Look at how he shoots and what type of shots he takes. He's not that good of a shooter as that percentage.
