Shouldnt be that hard. I mean everyone picked Heat to repeat, while more picked OKC over Lakers as #2. You have to remember this ranking was Pre-Harden trade.

I honestly think Rockets would be a top 8 lottery team if Harden wasn't here.

No player in the World can add that many wins to a team.

It's hilarious how underrated the other players on our team are by even our own fans.

I knew we were a playoff team since the day we landed Harden. Doubters doubt

I think people keep taking about Harden and Lin as the superstars on the team but I think honestly the one person that deserves more credit for helping them win so much has been Asik. How many people can influence a game defensively so much like Asik. Being #2 in rebounding is not an easy thing to do plus he's playing less minutes then others.

Asik is easily the MVP of this team. He accounts for like 90% of the Rockets' D.

Lebron is an out of this world talent. No player in the modern era compares to him.

Just what I was about to say. Harden may be really good, but he's no Lebron. imo This team would have been fighting for an 8th seed if the trade never happened

Nah, we wouldn't be. We've already seen the power of what Lin & Asik + scrubs can do.

The basic difference would be Kevin Martin vs. James Harden. There is no way we are as good.

Agree we would not be as good. But do believe we wouldn't be really awful either

Bad teams beat good teams all the time and occasionally the great ones as well. We've won some good games without Harden, I'll admit. But I don't see us winning very many games consistently without him. Harden is probably the most aggressively defended player in the league and creates space and openings with him simply being on the floor.

And the Rockets finished above .500 for the 9th seed last year and would have been in the playoffs if it weren't for an epic collapse right at the end. But that team had almost 0 upside and room to grow. It was a finished product team that was very mediocre.
