Pretty sure this is about the 10th thread asking this question... And I rank it...Spurs, then Nuggets, then Thunder.
I'd go with Spurs, but I don't think beating Denver is as much of an impossibility as it's being made to be.
I still say the Nuggets. I just don't believe Iguodola and Corey Brewer are going to go off on us every game. Focus more on stopping their fast break and we'll be good.
We are not going to catch the warriors...so really lets just hope the thunder beat out spurs for the 1st seed.
The Denver Nuggets. I know we had bad games vs Nuggets this season, but I really see those games for extenuating circumstances. Here are why I think the Nuggets are our best match up: -No Super Star -Gallinari out -They are not the Thunder
We're one game back and their next 3 games are OKC, LAL, SAS. Ours are MEM, SAC, and PHX, they're looking pretty catchable.
BUT they are the #1 home team in the league and would have home court advantage. I think the Nuggets have a better chance of winning one at Toyota center than we do of stealing one in the Pepsi Center.
Denver home court advantage won't nearly be as useful in playoffs when players have time to get used to it. That and I think people are seriously underrating Spurs and Thunder. They are number 1 and 2 for a reason. And lastly I really, really, really want a chance to shut their fan base up. Was seriously irritated by some of their comments after last game against them. Rockets would take the home games at least and if they are lucky grab one or two away.
Yeah I didn't realize either... If we win 2/3 and they lose 2/3 we clinch 6th. Much more likely than I realized.
Not sure if you noticed, but the Nuggets have the best home record in the NBA. 35-3. With homecourt advantage, i do not want to face them in the first round! That said, i am ok with playing out the season and playing the team that we get matched against. Deep down, I think Spurs are beatable and that OKC would be a really fun matchup bc of the Harden history.
Will answer next week when the <span style="text-decoration:line-through;">new</span> same thread comes up.
