"Did Jermaine touch it? Watch the ball... back, and to the left. Back, and to the left."

One of the most bizarre endings to a game I've ever seen. Had we lost that contest because, oh, let's say Smith did the same thing on the other end, this place would go ballistic. People would be throwing things at the TV. Having said that, it was a good call. O'Neal screwed up and nullified a great game by Luis Scola, thank god.

O'Neal driving the tank. Hell... not even driving... he was manning the cannon there.
Done caring until Shannon Brown is gone.

That was the craziest ending to a game. At first I wasn't sure if it was goaltending until I looked up and saw the replay. Good thing we have that new scoreboard .

props to bev, oneal is a veteran player, his body moved on instinct when bev fought with him for a rebound.

bev was quicker in thinking, quickly realizing to pull his hand off

Heh, I think the opposite. Bev baited O'Neil to go for the rebound early.
He prob didnt think it would cause JO to go for it but it happened by reaction.

OOps. I looked at the a non NBA site. I remembered there was a rule against touching the net.

    http://mediacentral.nba.com/media/mediacentral/Official-NBA-Rule-Book.pdf

Offcial NBA Rule Book Page 38

    h. Vibrate the rim, net or backboard so as to cause the ball to make an unnatural bounce, or bend or move the rim to an off-center position when the ball is touching the ring or passing through.
    i. . Touch the rim, net or ball while the ball is in the net, preventing it from clearing the
    basket.

    View from my seat.

Watched the game with some CF members, Dave2000, Ricksmith, and 00rocketgirl.

And then saw Clutch on the way out.

OK, so the net rule only applies if the ball is actually inside the basket and if the ball is directly affected or the rim is moved by pulling the net. Thanks for digging that up.

As a Suns fan I'm not mad , since we are one step closer to finish this yr tanking.I havent managed to watch the game, but it seems Luis & Gogi stepped up .I felt really guilty when rooting for rockets,or any other teams this year when they were up against the suns but still :( .

Congrats guys for entering playoffs. :)
It's an amazing year for u guys, and i really like this team ,i watched rockets esp when things gets harder to watch @ suns.

If u guys are concerned about returning favours, you could help us beat Lakers . A grand scene it would be to see the lakers falls off.:D
