I don't get why people keep saying Dragic badly outplayed Lin this game. Dragic played 38 mins and got 15pts/10ast with 3 TOs while Lin played 37 min and got 13pts/6ast with 2 TOs.
Beverly kept Dragic is check. NOT LIN Im convinced more than ever Lin is not a starting pg in the NBA, Harden is getting worn down, having to do everything on the court. Lin Fans say "let Lin play PG". Well when Lin is playing PG he still does nothing, he is quick enough to get to the rim, but instead of finishing the layup, he often foolishy overpasses...its so frustrating because those are typical plays that Dragic would just finish at the rim. Dragic also makes the simple pass( no fancy nonsense). When Lin is aggresive attacking the rim and not looking to pass the ball to Omer, he does well, when he has a point blank layup and foolishy tries to make a wrap around pass into traffic it results in a turnover. This is what Mchale means by making the simple play, and is why Beverly plays a lot in the 4th quarter.
Good thing they play 4 quarters, not 1... Besides Bev was on Dragic quite a bit in the 4th. Dragic badly outplayed Lin, Harden was a turnover machine and Scola carved up our bigs... That is why we barely beat a terrible team. Very glad we won, but our best players did not play well.
Just knew someone was going to bring up that quote... and I was SO hoping that folks wouldn't need to bring up that McHale comment. Still, there is some smattering of irony there...
We were shooting uncharacteristically cold from outside, and we didn't have the scoring and defense that Parsons brings. Very ugly game, but we won. It's a win and we'll take it. Any word on Parsons + Delfino return to the lineup?
Dragic is a better scorer/shooter than Lin, if he wanted to attack Lin all game, he could have and scored 25+ points, but i guess he wanted Scola to get more involved this game
Hmm, I didn't even say anything about the turnovers, but maybe I am kneejerking a bit about his character I admit. But what I said about him not playing basketball anymore in the sense that he's not trying to make plays or get open off the ball, but rather tries drawing ridiculous fouls by acting or intentionally running into his defender when he's not looking off the ball is something that I've been observing for a long time now and it's been bothering me a lot. In the long run he will get called out on that and refs will pick up on it and stop calling those fouls, lately it would seem that they already have.
Relax people, with regards to comparing Lin and Dragic...different team dynamic so different results. The pure stats goes to Dragic, but we know nothing counts more than a W at the end of the day. In that terms, Lin delivered with his last jump shot and FTs to tie the game. Lin and/or Harden could have easily had a double double game if the team wasn't bricking so many open shots.
I'm not so sure TJones is all that bad. He's young and he was schooled by Scola, but he's learning. Scola knows how to play in the low post, we know that. Scola made the entire Rocket team look kinda bad tonight. Between TJones, D-Mo, and TRob, I feel the best about TJones. Give the guy another year to figure things out and I think he will be a solid rotation player at the very least.
You are officially proclaimed as LOH and DOF. Stop watching basketball and go back to playing Skyrim or whatever.
