    For all the talk about Jay Z around the Nets franchise, that really is a tiny, tiny stake. Once you take out the price of his court side seats, that is pretty small potatoes for a multi millionaire like him.

    Heh..even Timberlake has 5 million in the Grizzlies. Jay Z seems to be cheaping out for a guy as powerful and rich as he is. Guess he really never had faith in the team.

    I don't know why most of you are surprised by the fact he had such little ownership. It was widely known he was a small owner, if even considered an owner. He was pretty much there to have a celebrity backing up the team to possibly attract other players.

    This is pretty much it. A popular name to associate with the team. Cavs did it with Usher, Grizzlies did it with Timberlake, Bobcats did it with Nelly and so on.
