All your smarty-pants graph shows is that, with more gun death, car death drops a lot, so there is less total death. If you control guns, people will just start using cars to kill one another again. I mean, according to your fancy graph, that is.
If you are really afraid the government is going to come for your guns, guess what? The government already knows who you are, lol.
whoops. It was pretty clear except for the actual posts from some people around here. Anyway, nice work!
We already do this but keeping records of who is or isn't crazy enough to own a weapon violates whos rights? I want to see the "too crazy to own a gun" list and I want to know how you get on it (is Royce White on it?). Criminals are a totally different discussion. Cars are just as dangerous, do I have to pass any checks to get one, are there any crazy folks with cars? FYI, there are no constitutional provisions just for owning and operating cars btw.
Cars are not just as dangerous - but anyway, you have to undergo a battery of tests to own and operate motor vehicle and are required to undergo regular inspections, required to have insurance etc etc - it's far more regulated than firearms. f you think it's a good analogue, then you really shouldn't have any problem with adopting a similar regulatory regime. I am all for forcing gun owners to be subject to inspection, registration, insurance, etc.
And I don't see the problem with registering guns. We have to register things like cars and there have been on attempts by government to confiscate cars en masse.
No we don't. I can build, buy and own whatever car I want without registering it. You still repeat garbage like this? Cars only require registration if you drive them on public roads. The gun debates on this forum are so ignorant.
See that's the rub. They Is a way to 'make' you register anything there are ways to 'persuade' you to give up almost any right Rocket River
Since 4473 Forms are kept indefinitely, we already have a first purchaser registration. Not many SMART gun owners are willing to expand it.
YOu are quick to call others ignorant when you forget your own. You can't build any car you want privately for example you cannot build a rocket car without alerting authorities and getting a permit. Further even with a gasoline powered car you can't store a lot of gas on private property without registration and meeting other safety requirements. Further since you brought up private roads extending the analogy then anytime someone carries a gun in a public space that weapon should be registered.
Rocket car? srsly? Asinine argument considering there are a few dozen "rocket cars" but fine. you are still wrong, you can build them without notifying anyone so long as you have a explosives license. I can build a turbine car without telling anyone. If you have any questions on clown cars, let me know. Considering there are many times more tanks and machine guns in private hands, you really should feel bad you said anything like this. I won't even respond to gasoline. If you are fine with me having any gun I want on my own property, I am all for it. Let's agree to agree. Car laws apply to guns now? You support that?
