I've been to Napa about 5 times in the last 7 or 8 years, and the only winery that I have gone to every single time is Peju. Their cabs and merlots are out of this world. I've gotten a bottle of their special reserve 2006 cab the last 2 times I've gone.

lol Persian? but yeah I greatly enjoyed the tasting there and we bought a lot of wine there

Whoever recommended Palmaz deserves some credit. That place is remarkably awesome, a great tour and great wine. Nickel and Nickel is a great sit-down tasting and tour, also. Fabulous wine.

I'm partial to Spring Mountain -- some truly fabulous wines up that way.

I can't stand Pinot so I generally don't care for Sonoma wineries, but I do enjoy the town of Healdsburg. I ate at a nice place called Madrona Manor near there for their Dickens Christmas dinner and it was great.

pay extra and get a driver for your rental car so everybody can enjoy each day

Rocketman95 and I finally made the trip to Sonoma and had a hell of a time. We ended up going to Repris, which is a new winery but was absolutely incredible! The mountain top view of the valley is well worth the price of admission. Went to 3 others which were Imagery Estate Winery (least impressive of the group in my opinion), VJB Vineyards & Cellars and Ledson Winery & Vineyards (the main building alone is worth going). Definitely going again next year to explore some more. We did end up making it out to Lagunitas tap room while we were there and from what I remember we had a blast. Any other suggestions for Sonoma valley would be appreciated.
