Top 5 offensive player, but until he stops letting nobodys getting career nights playing against him, he's not top 10.

Yo, looking at this thread, I wonder how many people outside of Houston would say Harden is above Kobe or even on the same tier.... dear god, at least not right now!

Yea, I remember when Kobe was the only star on his team and had Rudy T coaching. Did the Lakers make the playoffs that year...??? Are they going to make it this year...Lol...

If you look at many of the top players in the NBA they have other all star talent on the court with them _ Harden doesn't and he's leading his team to the playoffs in the western conference. That makes him a top 10 player EASY _ possibly top 5.

So are you saying if the Rockets had Tony Allan instead of Harden they would still be a playoff team...???

FIFY you can't argue with results. 7th seed in West with no other star.

By your logic, Lawson should be a top 10 player.

He has no other all star talent on his team and his team made Harden's team their b****.

Wait, is Lawson an all star?

No, but Lawson is darn good and he has a MUCH better team around him than Harden at practically every position and a MUCH better coach as well. Heck, just about every team in the playoff hunt in the western conference has a better starting lineup than the Rockets.

That's even more evidence that Harden is amongst the top players in the NBA.

    Incorrect.

Direct Opponents score 21 on him while he scores 26, direct opponents have PER of 15 while Harden has PER of 25.

Top 10 easy, top 5 when he gets better defensively. I hope Mac will get him there, cuz more than any trade, our best player playing tenacious defense creates a culture more conducive to winning than a Josh Smith acquisition.

Some of those names are horrible. DWill? Rondo? Dirk? James is twice the player that they are, imho.

You are praizing Harden by putting down Asik,Lin, Parsons. I agree our PF is a little weak.

The 4 games Harden didn't play, we are 2-2, averaging 108.2 points not counting over-time. We lost to Clippers on the road and beat them at home. We lost to the Spurs at home but we scored 120 points on thems who allows only 96 plus change a game and took them to over-time(so it could be considered a draw). We beat Magic at home which is not much to talk about.

4 games is a small sample and Harden carries his team more often than not. But the minus Harden Rockets is better than many people willing to give credit to.

You're either calling the Rockets a team full of scrubs or the Lakers a team full of scrubs. Sorry if I cannot tell as the internet is deaf =/

LOFs are castigated for throwing other players under the bus, but Harden stans sure have no such concerns.

I don't neccessarily agree with the order but I think your top ten are right on the money. Bosh probably would be the only player that I would leave out. Duncan goes top 5 IMO and Kobe goes 8 or 9 with Harden at 5 or 6.

    Lebron
    KD
    CP3
    TD
    Melo
    Harden
    Parker
    DWade
    Kobe
    D12

At this point, i'd argue Lebron James, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, Dwyane Wade, Dwight Howard and Blake Griffin are the top 10 this season. I'd probably rate James 11th. If his defensive game improves, he could be top 5.
