A player's value gets diminished in about at least 50% if he's injury prone.

At this point, I doubt even the Suns who were the ones to offer Eric Gordon that max contract in the 1st place would take him with that same contract for free.

This is exactly why you don't sign him to a max contract.

    Buy low...

If there every is a time to trade for him, now is that time.

The Suns will go after him in their quest to replace the Rockets at top the winningest lotto teams.

Now is not the time because:
1.) The trade deadline has past
2.) We are below the cap and making the trade destroys the ability to sign free agents.
3.) We have a franchise player at the 2. Unless you plan on going with small ball >50% of the time, it makes no sense to have another max salary SG.

If you want to add Eric Gordon, you wait a year or two, after we have added a major piece via cap space. Once you have that second major piece, then is time to trade for other supplementary pieces.

Couldn't you set up the offense with Harden playing PG and EGo playing SG? Then have them switch matchups on defense with EGo guarding opposing PGs.

Harden already handles the ball most of the time.

While I am not opposed to experimenting, can you give me one example of a no PG, two SG lineup that has been effective?

Get Gordon and play Royce white as a point forward who brings the ball up.

Harper typically played 20-25 minutes with Kerr picking up alot of the other minutes.

You want to pay Gordon max dollars to play 20 minutes a night?

Jordan played PG when Kerr/Paxon were in the game.

Majic/Byron Scott if you want a major minute tandem

Robert Reid/Lew Lloyd on the 86 Rockets Finals team.

Dennis Johnson/ Ainge, neither one would be what I would consider true PG's.

    Do you need more?

    I guess.....

I have serious reservations about the dual SG lineups. I don't mind Harden setting up the offense, but physically dribbling the ball up the court every play with a press is typically fairly difficult for SGs.

Gordon would definitely not be first first choice of players to add around Harden.

I think that had a lot more to do with Harper's injury problems and age at that point and not a lack of cohesiveness between him and Jordan. And with Gordon's injury history it wouldn't be so bad if they limited him to around 30.
