If we could knock the Lakers out of the playoffs in the last game of the regular season.

We will be underdogs no matter who we play in the playoffs. I'm expecting us to win 2 games at the most in the playoffs.

I say we play hard and play everyone their regular minutes against the Lakers. It'll be a good experience for our team to try and simulate a close out game.

Hey if we can't win a first round matchup, might as well knock someone out of the playoffs when we get a chance.

If the last games does decide if the Lakers make the playoff or not and we win, that game would be one of the best of the year. NOTHING would give me more pleasure than watching espn for a week after the game.

It looks like they have to go 5-0 to make it in.

...except Stern would probably fix it so that the Lakers win. And honestly, I'd prefer to have them on the 8 seed, and then see their fans look on helplessly as they watch the Lakers get utterly demolished by SA/OKC.

Everybody is laughing now, but how do ou think the lakers will look next year? If Dwight stays there, do you think they continue struggling next season or become the "top 4 seed" according to dantani? Either way I hope thu struggle but I feel for Nash who is really good and should win a ring but is being burdened with drama and egos

If the game gets down to that, Harden is going to bring it. He's a gamer thats for sure.

If it comes to that, I fully expect to see Earl Hebner on the officiating crew for that game.

I honestly don't hate the Lakers enough to root against them not making the playoffs.

I hate Utah enough to want them to not make it, but I'd be fine with the Lakers or Mavericks getting into the playoffs. Frankly, don't think Dallas has that great of a chance but they are a Texas team so I'd welcome them into the playoffs.

Besides, it will show how Howard does in the Western conference playoffs, which will either drive his price down or make Morey and the front office less willing of picking him for what he might try to ask which would be for the team's best.

If Lakers don't make the playoffs our chances of getting Dwight this offseason goes from like 5% to 50%.

If it comes to that it'll be 8 vs. 5 for sure.

Jazz prob go 2-2 the last 4 games so the Lakers would have to go 4-1. That being said if it does come down to the last game of the season there's no way we beat L.A. 5 on 8 in L.A.

that would be the bigger story, for sure. Not only having the Lakers fail to make the playoffs, but getting Dwight Howard on top of it would be music to my ears (from the cries of the Laker fans).

I would much rather see the Lakers in the playoffs than the Jazz. Are you kidding me?

Jazz vs. OKC/Spurs? Give me the Lakers. Just better television. Plus the Jazz is far more our rival than the Lakers are.

Yeah but I want to read the countless articles about Laker failure and the tears of Lakers fans everywhere for like a week after they officially fail to make it.

Plus the drama of Dwight's 2013 Decision.

The biggest reason to send the Lakers packing is Dwight, and for that reason alone it'd be worth giving the game 100% even if everything else is locked up.

nah, i prefer the jazz to not make it.

i want nash to get another playoff run, (and, if by some miracle,) win a champhionship before he retires. i think he deserves it.
